Dang, got stumped on the first question: 1. Do you currently own a sportbike? Oh well, time to go home. |

It is choking when I am selecting buttons. Erasing some of them above while I'm making selections. Grrrrr.... I'll re-enter and try again. |

There is one section that does that by design I think... The section asking the five most important attributes... |

It was interesting. Whenever I take a multiple choice survey, I wonder if the people interpreting it can figure out what I really meant accurately. Maybe Court will give us the inside scoop on the results in a few weeks. |

Under improvements for my bike I wrote that they should allow Buell dealers to have seperate stores from Harley delaerships. |

I'd rather see HD/Buell make dealerships accountable for their own service and own customer service, instead of keeping us all guessing who's really responsible. Someday the finger pointing will have to stop. -SD: |

that survey was fun... I wonder if it will effect future designs from Buell. Just hope not in a bad way... things seem to be going in the right direction for the most part. Hope the survey isnt an indication that design is running out of thier own ideas and have to come to the customers for a direction

Apparently the appearance of a motorcycle did not register in the possible listings of important things to consider. |

I'm stuck on question #17. It wants me to choose which brand is best for different criteria. The only problem is I have only owned Buells. I know less than nothing about any other type of bike. It wont let me leave it blank. They need an "I dont know" column. |

Man Koz5150, wish I would have thought to put that down as well. I mostly focused on the ability to change the riding position either with cost effective parts or with adjustable parts. |

I also had to think about the first question..."Do you own a sportbike?" Then I went out and looked at my bikes. Low and behold, it's right there on the tank "American Sportbikes" Overall....I thought the survey was asking a really good variety of questions. But what I'm looking for in a bike really depends on the bike (let me explain). If I was to replace my S3T (with a new bike), there is nothing in the Buell family that even comes close. I'd probably move to BMW (heated seats and grips, adjustable seats, etc). If I was to replace my S1W (with a new bike), the XB12S would on the top of my list. I like to power curve and feel of the XB's. And they have some similar styling cues of the S1. It's still not as "raw" of a bike but it's close. It will be interesting to see what becomings of the survey results. |

I got a laugh over how the answer selections address both sportbikes and sport touring bikes. Hmmm...wonder what they are thinking. Something along the lines of a super homologation machine? Gosh, wouldn't that be an FJR1300 or perhaps the more luxurious ST1300 concerning the features? |

it was a good survey, and i enjoyed taking it, and i hope everyones answers will keep Buell moving in their current direction "the right one" my one observation though, is that the questions seemed biased towards the buell model. not that I mind, but could they possibly be searching for a particular direction with the responses anyway? and as already asked, how many current sportbike riders will participate in that survey. those would be more interesting to see than the results from the guys on this board already riding Buells. |

Blake noted: Apparently the appearance of a motorcycle did not register in the possible listings of important things to consider ... or how poor their dealer network and service is overall? If they'd pull their heads out of their rear ends and hold the dealers accountable for their poor service, then they'd be able to fix the REAL problem. Haven't seen it happend in my 7 years of involvement with Buells. -SD: |

"Hope the survey isnt an indication that design is running out of thier own ideas and have to come to the customers for a direction " LOL... I'm hoping they go exactly MY direction sprinkled with as much of their brilliant engineering as they can instead of their own direction... I don't quite understand why coming to the customers for idea is a bad thing... Aren't we the people that they are trying to sell motorcycles to? Shouldn't they be what WE want instead of what they want to sell us? There's a GREAT song by "Rage Against The Machine" called "Bullet in the Head"... "Buyin' all the products that they're sellin' ya... Believin' all the lies that they're tellin ya... They say jump and you say "how high". You're brain dead... You got a bullet blasted through your head." "They packed a nine... They fire it at Primetime..." Sorry... just tired of buying everything that someone thought I might be interested in instead of asking me and then taking steps to ensure that they are making a product that's actually targeted at the buyer... |

"Hope the survey isnt an indication that design is running out of thier own ideas and have to come to the customers for a direction " Buell...Out of Ideas...Never happen. IMHO Just looks like they are looking for our priorities concerning the refinement of existing models and perhaps the addition of new ones.} |
