Looking for a pair of BUELL decals similar to the size that's already on the airbox. They need to be individually cut letters, not printed on square or oval stock. I'm planning on using them to mask the buell logo when I paint my air box cover. Any info is appreciated. Ivanski |

Its not very difficult to lay painters tape across the stock raised decals and trace them out with a razor knife. |

I would just remove the letters from the airbox, paint the whole airbox, then put the letters back on with some double sided tape or adhesive. I hear that they come off pretty easy with a hairdryer, but I haven't tried it myself. I know lots of others have though. |

I like Wycked's idea - trace them out where they are - then you can use it however you like. Ivanski - I'm assuming you are about to do what I wanted to do - some paint scheme requiring two colors of paint? I was going to do a candy apple red, which required a gold base layer. After painting the base gold I was going to mask off the lettering and paint the candy red. Once the mask is removed it would look sweet with the gold lettering (it actually matched the current amber pretty close, but it was metallic). Clear coat it and you're done. I just didn't have the patience...I wanted to get mine on the road. |
