Some/many posts from this afternoon may have been swallowed by the site maintenance going on and due to some database issues we were working. They show up in a search but don't appear on the page. Sorry about the problem. My bad. I'm too dangerous with this stuff. The good news is that Discus is amazing in its ability to recover from a completely FUBAR'd discussion board. Time for another server upgrade. This time... more hard drives to help spread the load. Thanks to all who wrote to advise me of the problem. I usually try to take Sunday off to spend with my wonderful wife. Thanks to Court for giving me a call to apprise me of the trouble he caused. |

And to clarify, it wasn't Discus behaving badly on any of the brown-outs we recently suffered. First two are traffic/server related. Today's was linux/webmin related. BadWeB is pushing the known envelope of cyberkinetic temporal flow. |

'pushing the known envelope of cyberkinetic temporal flow' I hate it when that happens! |

You mean the one where you said... "Let me get you the specs when I get home." Got that one. |

ahem. follow-up http://linux.dell.com/storage.shtml for drivers and general info AMI PERC 2/SC (1999) w/ 16MB RAM AMI PERC 3/QC (2003) w/ 128MB RAM, full length 64-bit PCI the QC rocks, if you have the case space. I have at least six 18GB 10,000RPM enterprise-class SCSI drives but only 2 adapters (they are hot-swap drives). Adapters are ~$19. If you are tight on case space/harddrive mounting you might want to get all your adapters there as mine are taller than the drive and take up more room. I also have a killer ATX 450W power supply if you need extra juice. |

Did you just say something, cause all I heard was... ...gobbledegook... I will forward to our sysadmin. He is already set to upgrade to dual drives with harware in hand though and is eager to do so before he heads out for vacation this Friday, so the site will be down for maintenance sometime tomorrow. Hopefully for just an hour or two. Will keep your gobbledegook in mind for next stage of upgrade. Next stage will likely involve dual servers. |

While yer at it - it looks like the auto-link for American Sport Bike isn't working (ok the auto-link is working but the link it auto's is not) |

Testing... American Sport Bike Night American Sport Bike Simply type A S B absent the spaces to get the American Sport Bike autogenerated hyperlink. And going the extra mile for our friends as we are inclined to do... We also remedied the problem whereby the American Sport Bike Night folks kept getting their A S B N (absent spaces) converted to American Sport BikeN. |

Blake, Thanx for your constant attention to this site! It runs remarkably well for all the traffic it gets. You Rock! |
