Charlieboy, I'll be out in Yuma the next two weeks for work, I'll try to squeeze the cityX in my van. Let's try to hook up while I'm out there. I'll give you a buzz on Monday night after I find a hotel. Any recommendations on hotels? Company is paying... |

Art, I haven't figured out what to do with the bike yet. Not sure if I am going to take it back to stock, or leave it an RS. Also I don't have the spirit to go out ther and dig through her right now. |

He runs the Jardine, and from the looks of the end of what's left on the bike I'd say it looks like the weld at the front broke just after the elbow. The elbow is still attached. There are some pics in the last archive. |

Wait... My bad, I think he was running a V&H SS2R... |

V&H SS2r adapted from an S3. The elbow pulled out of the canister, when the canister touched down that is what launched the backend into the air and ripped the rear muffler bracket apart. |

You know. I just remembered there was a Bueller who had his V&H pipe fall off at Torquefest. It was just outside of Spingerville on the way to New Mexico. Scary to think about what can happen if you lose a pipe. Maybe I'll rig some safety strapping... My bro-in-laws pipe (Buell Race) lost all its bands on his trip to my house from Cali. He pulled into my drive with the pipe hanging only from the header. I'm glad he didn't lose it! |

Thats why I like the Force pipes, welded as one piece, if I do get a XB the first thing I'll put on it will be a Force pipe!!! Wycked, you have mail. |

you haven't seen the wycked shape of the torn skin Thanks everyone for the word of encouragement and offers of help. No matter how I look at it, I am still 3-6 months away from riding again. Right hand is mostly useless right now and in a few weeks they will take a graft from my hip to make up for the bone loss to the road. I figure for all the close calls and near disasters, I was due and am glad this is the extent. My friends have come out of the woodwork once again to help and my faith in the Buell community is once again strengthened. |

What time you guys headed out and how long do you plan on being out? If not an all day thing, I might go with ya. I have a lot of crap I need to do before heading back to Oki so time is limited. Ski |

Wycked, As long as you don't mind discussing. What did the damage: the road impact, the mountain wall, a guard rail? Your elbow hit something pretty damn hard! Do you remember the whole thing? OR did you blank out through the impact? I'm curious cuz I remember my whole accident like it what in slow mo. Every detail... You had your Rocket jacket on yes? How'd it fair? I'm wearing that one too remember... One idea I had, even before your mishap, was to buy one of those body armor suits and wear it underneath the rocket outer with the dual density pads just taken out to make room. I keep thinking that when and if I go down again I'm going to dress for the fall. I've got some GP style gloves for springfast being that your hands are the first thing you throw out in a fall... Anything I can do to help let me know. I have a shift lever if you broke yours... |

I'll have a clutch lever pretty soon. I ordered the "shorty" gold CRG and it's on it's way. I'll have a front brake lever too as soon as I can... |

Charlie, it was an impact with the roadway that broke it. Not sure if it was the initial when I hit on my back or the first roll, but I know from there on out it was broke. I was wearing a First Gear Kilamanjaro jacket and HD FXD overpants, not my Rocket gear. I think by feel the Rocket gear would have done just as well. |
