Steve, thanks, but we're probably not gonna make it Saturday. I've got a guy with a 'dozer coming to el ranchito, and I'll need to stick around and make sure he clears what I want cleared. But if that doesn't come to pass, I might hop on the Road Sofa and swing by to suck a few heads! rt |

Yeah, we did, it looked so good, we decided to do some more. The guy brought his machine out to the place before Thanksgiving, it broke down just after the rain started. By the time he got it fixed and brought it back out, the place was so soggy he got stuck to the axles and it's been there ever since! He's gonna try again... Since your last visit, we've had a family of beavers take up residence in the pond. I may become a fur trapper! rt |

BBQ UPDATESaturday April 16 works for me, providing I'm not called out of town on business (which is a distinct possibility) but let's plan on doing it that day anyway. El Ranchito is around Brenham, about 85 miles NW of Houston. I live in Bellaire, and it takes me about 1:15 to get there via 290. Give me a headcount so I can plan food & drinks. I'll e-mail maps to those attendees who don't already know how to get there. There is plenty of room for camping, as long as you don't demand hook-ups or sanitary facilities! Don't count on bed space indoors, my clan usually fills up all the available beds! rt |

I am there. Or at least, I will be. Damn, and I just got all the mud cleaned off from the last time. I have a rather large tent, so if you don't have one, don't sweat it. RR, you want to meet up at your place before we head out? |

Outstanding! This might be the best one yet (if I don't get called to NYC to justify my continued presence on the payroll)! Bill, no need. If the head count gets high enough I'll just put out a jar for contributions. rt |

Hey are any of you members of a local Buell club? Mancuso sponsors "Houston Streetfighters" and I've been meaning to call Keith to find out more but thought I would check here first. Thank you |

Mike: Not me. There was talk of starting a BRAG chapter a few years ago but as far as I know it never got off the ground. Maybe that's what Mancuso is doing? There are a bunch of Buell riders/BWB'ers up your way: Hootowl, Roadrunr, B2M2, Rem and probably some others I've forgotten to name. Try to join us at el Ranchito Chingadero outside Brenham on Sat 16 April! rt |

we finally had enough surf for rachel's contest to take place. not good surf but everybody had the same junk so all's fair! she placed 3rd in her heat but only 2 advance so she was bit disappointed. still had a fun day and surfed a little more off to the side. anyhoo.. it frees us up for next weekend and work looks good to take off saturday. are any wives or kids going to be there or is this a testosterone laden scratch and spit event? i will bring three pies on the bike and more if needed if the girls follow in the car. let me know if i can do anything else. looking forward to seeing ya'll. philip |

Thanks, Philip! It's definitely a family event -- if they want to come, bring 'em! Apple, cherry, coconut cream and lemon meringue are my personal favorites... All you other guys, I'll need a head count by this Thursday for food & beverage planning. I think we'll throw some burgers and dogs on the grill, plus the left-over brisket from last year (don't worry, it's been in the freezer!) rt |
