Stupid question: lacking the owners manual, can anyone tell me the specs on the S3T brake/taillight bulbs? I'm guessing they are dual element 1157's, but just wanted to make sure. Also, does anyone know of a tankbag for this bike? I need a little extra storage but nothing too tall (it'll obscure the view of the GPS from the saddle). |

I think that's the right bulb, but my manuals are at the shop. I can get you an actual part number on Monday when I can get to a parts book for an OEM replacement. Occasionally, you can find a Buell Quest tank bag on eBay for a decent price. Unfortunately, they've been discontinued. I was looking for a new one, and no dealer in the network had one. You can try clicking http://www.americansportbike.com/shop/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?pg=store&sub_pg=splash to check out an aftermarket bag from americansportbike.com. It may be too tall for your needs (I also have an S3T & would prefer the Quest bag if I can find it online). Hope this helps. |

>they are dual element 1157's Sort of. 157s work, but Buell used heavy-duty ones who's part# I don't remember. I replaced with 1157s when the originals burned out. |

I replaced mine with 1157's too and no problems so far. Be very careful seating the tail lense gasket as the tail light can pick up a lot of water and take out your new lamps in a hurry. Don't just look over American Sport Bike's web site but actually drop Al some mail, either there on his site or even here on badweb in the sponsor section. Cool guy & knows a bit about tubers (& XB's). |

I have a basically brand new Buell Quest tank bag I would sell for $90. It has been on a bike once. They are IMO the best tank bag made for a buell. I also have an well used one that is still 100% functional just really faded that I would sell for $40. ddunn@satx.rr.com (Message edited by buelliedan on March 28, 2005) |

Out of curiousity, how tall is that Quest tankbag? I have a GPS mounted on the bike and don't want a tankbag that is so tall that it obscures my view of the GPS or instruments... |

It is an expanding tankbag. When in the down position I would estimate it to be about 6 inches tall but it can expnad to about 9 inches if needed. |
