Jinance-No Erik and I didn't look for the plate together, I wrote that one incorrectly, I was telling him how when everyone at the scene was looking for the plate. You're right I will be riding Buell's as long as I am able. Glitch-Thank you and that sounds like a very good idea. Loved camping at TWO's also(best food I have had in along time, Thanks GT & Britt!) Look forward to getting back down there and riding some more twisties with you all. Dj- sorry we missed each other, I'll be down there again for sure, absolutely beautiful riding, I asked Erik if that was the area that inspired him to build the XB platform, he laughingly agreed! If you all look at the picture of Cameron making the call, look at the seat. The pucker factor wrinkle is still there. Yea those guys were just awesome, and I still get goose bumps thinking about all that happened. Blake-I like it, Thanks. |

I am really really pleased to read of both the rider and bike's quick recovery, but not at all surpised (at the bike's) -- can you think of a better group of folks to hang out with? |

Jim - You mentioned the demo truck. I got to see it in Minnapolis last summer. It is an impressive truck. I also got to talk to the drivers wife. She is an incredably nice person. Was she there? |

Gary and Lois Cravillion are the folks that run the demo truck. They were both there all weekend. You are right, they are both very nice people. |

Ditch-Sucks to hear that you went down, but very happy to hear you're OK. Kudos to all you guys and gals that helped out your brother. I know any of the rest of us would have done the same had we been there. (note to self: Don't try to keep up with Erik at any of these events! ) ride SAFE ya'll! Nick |

Gary and Lois are two of Buell's BEST Ambassadors. I've spent many an hour riding behind Gary and I pity any poor soul who, in his days in Law Enforcement, who tried to elude him. Smooth as glass, I learned a little more each trip. Sounds like it was an awesome weekend and the folks at SMHD/B did it up right. Court |

Jim, Glad your OK and Kudos to you all. It's good to see people come together. Wish I could have been there. Just wanted to say that despite all the my dealer sucks threads, there are really good people out there. My HD shop is a small mom and pop shop that discontinued buell in 04. Despite not having the brand or a Buell Mech anymore, they've on numerous occasions come to get me, or stayed after hours to help me out. If you can find the good people, stick with em. I do, even though their sign no longer says Buell. PS- They can't get the parts though so Dave has my card # on file |

Sometimes the right guy in charge can transform a poor dealership into a good one. |

U4EUh (Ditch Digger), I got that little bolt out for you and was glad to do it, I could not let anyone go without their bike for that weekend. It is good to hear you got home safe and I hope I never need you to return the favor. HE HE HE Ditch Digger, Quite fitting. |

New12r- I said it once and I say it again, I don't know how you done it but you did, That one bolt could have turned into a very long weekend. If I can ever (hope the circumstances aren't the same) return the favor, I'll jump in in with both hands and feet! Kinda like I did when exiting the bike. Yea Ditch Digger is fitting, I'm still pulling dirt out from places you don't want to hear about. Thanks everyone, and please if you go to any other boards copy the address to this thread, I still believe that the fine things that SMHD/B & the 3% club done needs to be spread around. |

U4EUh (Ditch Digger), don't worry about it, I am always glad to help, fixing things is what I do best(besides riding ) I don't know if it is a sickness or a gift to really and truly enjoy working on a bike. Look in the cool buell pics and scroll down you can see my new project.} (Message edited by NEW12R on March 26, 2005) |
