I just got a Vehicle Diagnostic Kit from Daves - hook my laptop up and I can read error codes, reset the TPS and A/F ratios, etc...

Read more at TechnoResearch's website...

$250 plus a 10% discount.

I haven't done it myself, but there was a post here recently on it - several have used it. Has lots of diagnostic info, can read ECM errors, etc...

I heard there was a glitch in the software, but it seems to be fixed in the latest version.

It's pricy, but worthwhile since you now don't have to take it to the dealership for that stuff.

So, what does a dealership typically charge to do that (reset tps)?

My last one was $25. I have a really good dealership, though. YMMV.

It works very well, as long as you have the newest version (2.71-O). Reset your AFV, TPS, diagnostic codes, data log the whole bike to a PDA while driving it down the street onto a PDA, bring it back, load it on a PC and analyze the data. Cool stuff. It works as advertised. Do a search on "Technoresearch" for some other recent discussions here. For folks that aren't near a dealer, or are near dealers that treat a Race ECM as a warranty breaking crime, this tool is a godsend. I have them here. I'll gladly reset anybody's TPS who can drive their bike to the A.S.B shop for free, the longest part of the process is booting the PC.

Al - will the laptop log the same data log? I could always just toss the laptop in a backpack and take a run...
