Looks like the Rachel's Father won't make it this week due to inclement weather... Damn. So... Saturday Morning at Wickenberg? Into Prescott via the spars and then around the Skull Valley loop? Maybe Jerome? Maybe we could all just hang out and do wheelies in a parking lot? Just kidding... See you all this weekend. Bart... Bring that Manual? We can drop it off at my place. |

you got 7k out of a stock Dunlop???? damn whats your secret? I only got 2500 out of mine...so lets see you got almost 3 times as much wear out of yours...since my last conti got 8000 I could probably stretch that out to 24000 using your secret riding technique |

hey that Conti stands up just fine on its own... Not a decent one, AZ motorsports is shipping me a new tire on Monday, unless I can get a ride down there monday morning to pick it up. Otherwise its going to be a hope and pray plug to get me to work for a few days. (Message edited by wyckedflesh on March 25, 2005) |

Couldn't find the post you were talking about. What time, date and where are you guys riding? My brother in law is in town and I don't know if it'll be right but I would have to let him ride my Buell and I would have to ride my HD. Don't know if you guys would mind a HD riding with you guys but I know it sure won't be as fun as being on the buell. |

Guys, Sorry for the lack of ride info. I figured today would be work out best because of the holiday. Lets meet at the Chevron gas station just East of the I 17 / Carfree Hwy junction. (about 10 miles north of Phoenix on I 17) Hopefully a 10am meet time will give everyone a little extra time to get there and will let the day warm up a bit. Weather says "Sunny with light winds with a high of 56deg." I hope everyone that wants to go can make it. |

actually my front tire was cupped pretty bad (i suppose the wheelies didnt help it) and the rears did some good trips up mt lemon quite a few times..ask other brian im not just a stunt rider i do know how to turn as well. My secret...i only weigh 125lbs. whenever i was doin stunts my tire pressure was around 20 or so. i could have made it last longer but honestly i hated that tire and just wanted to get rid of it. ive had a plug in it since 700 miles and basically it was just crap anyways. for anybody who is interested our group (MOB) has joker from ruff ryhders goin with us tonite for some tire torture, he came out for a lil vacation. if anybody is interested call me up...954-0907..we meet up around 10pm. everybody have a safe easter |

Well we had a little mishap on the way back from Prescott yesterday. Bart, Wicked and I split ways in Prescott with Bart riding back on I17 and Wicked and I backtracking the route. I'm glad we didn't follow Bart. I was in front and made a pass on a truck towing a boat. Wicked attempted the same pass when it happened. Having a muffler under your bike seems like a good thing for many technical reasons, but when it breaks off and you run it over it seems like a rather bad idea. The back tire hits the muffler and piches the back of bike up in the air when it comes down the bike goes into a violent tank slapper that ends up throwing him off the bike. Wicked tumbled. The bike tumbled. The bike breaks apart at the headstock (as designed) and ends up about 60 yards down the road from Wicked. I make it about a mile down the road before I notice my friend isn't behind me and stop to wait a moment. Just long enough for that sinking feeling to set into my stomach. I make it back to the crash site to find him surrounded by people including a nurse helping out any way they can. People can be really great when they need to be. The EMT's, fire department and police showed up quickly to take over and after an assessment whisked him away to the hospital. Now for the good news. After all that he ends up having a broken elbow and a couple scratches on his pinkie finger. That's it. Unbelievable. He was wearing full gear with a helmet and it all worked as intended. If that accident would have happened on the I17 i'm afraid of what might have happened. After Bart and I tended to his bike (thanks man)I went to ER and talked to him about the crash and showed the pictures I took of the bike. They came and took him to surgery to fix the broken elbow (compound fracture). By that time his girlfriend and roommate were there for support so I cut out. I wouldn't be surprised to see a post from him in the very near future. |

So here are a few pictures of the bike. At first it looks like a total loss. Under closer scrutiny it looks like it might take minimum work to get it back on the road. You guys are better than me at this so you decide. |
