Just spotted this for auction on UK Ebay. Nice looking bike no question but where was it bought if it cost over £8000 new(thats about $15,000 US)!

i don't know much about the market for buells in the UK. but i can only assume that he's tacking on the price of all the stuff he added to that. the race kit, stickers, looks like he painted it or got new plastic. | |||

The list price for an 04 XB9R last year was £7400 or thereabouts($13,900 US) but that was on paper. The reality was that the new price was massively discounted and, if you looked in the right places, you could roll one out the showroom door for as little as £5000($9300). I think they were moving stock before the intro of the City X. So I suppose if this ebayer didn't look in the right place then his price quote is on the button....just seems really dear to me. Obviously I wish him all the best but I will be surprised to see if he gets the asking. | |||

come buy one in japan-17 grand for a firebolt/lightning,14 grand for a city x.oh that is approximate conversion for yen,and only the japanese pay that.we pay regular american prices-thank god. (Message edited by okinawaxb12s on March 23, 2005) | |||

Well it's the Ebay curse isn't it, people who buy stuff of there without doing any other research have only themselves to blame...plus with the ambivalent press that Buell gets in the UK he is unlikely to see that price. | |||
