Devdawg: I can honestly say I have never had the vertical unit. The efficency is likely a combination of several factors air flow being a major one. I ran 3200 miles on a trip no problems The bike fell off of a ramp on to black top in an unloading accident landing on that side no problems The Jagg is of fairly heavy construction for what it is. If you are concerned about the cooler getting holed carry a double barb fitting, and bypass it if needed. I don't know how efficent it is but its well made and well finished. The adapter fittings film the body from time to time and hoses will nave to be tightened once in a while. Some nice braided cover hoses are in store for my x1 this year filter change is a pita, and the clutch cable has a rubber ducky to keep from holing the cooler When it warms up here I will be testing an efi mod and need the bike to run a little hotter I have a temp gauge on my bike where I can see it while riding I will likely bypass the cooler for testing If any one is interested I can check the set up out and will post my results As always thanks one and all

Outrider...I'll see what I can do. It may be a week or so (no digital cam and no scanner). |

You want an adapter with a t-stat that looks just like the JAGG one? Check out MOCAL. |

The sandwich adapter is available at http://www.batinc.net/files/sp1t.pdf I used the sp1t. It is not the only one available, I have heard of one made by Hayden. You just need to get one made for a 5.0 Ford Mustang. (Message edited by davefl on March 21, 2005) |

Does anyone know of any dealers that might still have one of the old-style (vertical) Jagg coolers on the shelf? I'm reluctant to buy used or off ebay. |
