Author Message   Trevorxb9s Posted on Thursday, March 17, 2005 - 11:52 pm:        I am trying to locate paint that matches the rear cheese grater and side rails on my 2003 XB9S. Any ideas. The paint that is on the Buell Website seems to be for the frame which is a lighter color.   Trevorxb9s Posted on Friday, March 18, 2005 - 12:06 am:        Odie, Are you still doing the "grater eliminator?" If so any luck on matching the paint to the XB9S side rails? Rode 300 miles in pure twisties, meet and talked with Erik, got together with great friends once again and made some new ones. I finally got to ride my bike the way it was supposed to be ridden. Now I need new tires!! Let me find a pic of a 9 and see if I may have something that matches. I have a spray can of Buell, Graphite Gray, M0310.1AAYBP. It matches my 12S frame color. I have a small touch-up bottle of Titanium that matches the triple trees on my 12S. This may be more your color. Best bet is go to the dealer and get with the parts guy/girl so you have the color in front of you. I even looked in the KV and couldn't find anything. Might want to try WallyWorld. I found a silver to match my Grater until I painted it a dark grey. Let me know if you need anymore help. The boys at American Sport Bike have a grater chopped with the color that matches. I'm going to talk to the some guys I know in a local body shop and see if they can match it and what it will cost me. I just put the M1's on my bike. They are the best tire I have ever ridden. I've heard nothing but great things about the M1's. I'm leaning towards Michelin Pilot Powers. I found a silver at Walmart that matched very well the color of my side rails.
