Bart, Did you come up with a tire deal with Arrowhead HD for the event? I'll be ready for tires the first week of April, maybe I can talk them into the same deal or do the deal early? Send me an email with tips on tire pricing with them. Thanks |

Billc, I'll be talking to the marketing folks tomorrow morning and find out just exactly what deals they will provide to the Springfasters. they Did mention that there would be deals on tires, oil changes, etc. as to how much of a discount I'm not sure. BUT... ARROWHEAD HD/BUELL IS OWNED BY AZMOTORSPORTS.COM go to the website for: AZmotorsports.com and look up the tires you want. they will meet or beat any other "advertised" tire prices anywhere. I always get my tires from there, and have them sent to me. You can probably pick your tires out on the website, and then contact FLOYD in the service department and let him know the type of tires, size, and the advertised price that you want to have installed, and he should be able to have them there waiting when you are ready. If they are going to start to provide Buell riders the service we expect, this is a good way to show it. Make sure you let them know that you will be attending the SpringFast event. I'll let you know tomorrow what the discounts will be. BBB |

Wycked, If your departure for work doesn't include 0430ish I don't want to hear it!!! Chili's sound great. Elizabeth said she wanted italian but it's my birthday so uck her! Bart, I did't know where the happs was going to be so we stayed central. Were going to be at the Motel 6 Suites on 17, just North of the 10 i think. Speaking of tires... My Diablos are quite flat in the middle, CA freeways, but have great tread on the outer bits. Taking into consideration the roads we'll be on, and how much time we'll be on one side of the tire or the other, I think it'll last. I have a new rear in the garage. Do you guys think I should mount it for Springfast or pull a Murrae? Mine's no where near as bad as his was though. I don't even think I'd have cord showing after the whole trip like he did. He's a brave man... I can't remember who it was, Bart or Murrae, some one told me they went on a trip, had cord showing, and would stop every so often and wrap the tire in duct tape! Do what you gotta do I guess LOL! (Message edited by charlieboy6649 on March 17, 2005) |

Hey, Charlie. Are you and Eliz going to Spring fast? Just got the flier for it...sounds way cool. I will have to get some things together logistically for it, but right now it's maybe with a yes. If not, I'll see you the following weekend when you make it back to Socal. |

Have any of you ran up to the Road Runner Resturaunt and Saloon? Went there yesterday, ran New River Rd. starting near Lake Pleasant to New River. A fun run with a few twisties. |

I ride New River road all the time. Twice yesterday! I live up in Desert Hills, so it's a regular route for me. Saturdays and Sundays The Roadrunner is packed with bikers (mostly Harley, some sport bikes). I don't typically go there myself, but I hear it's okay! New River Road? Easy... I-17 to Carefree Hwy. East to 7th St. Turn Left. Three miles later it turns into New River Rd. It's about a 9 mile road that takes you back to I-17 north of Stepford(anthem). b |

Thanks for the B-day wishes. Had a great time at CnC! That skydive ride is the shiznit! I wanted to go over and over but Eliz's stomach had had enough... We were there all afternoon. I won the go kart race coming from the back for the win! Guess I shouldn't feel all that good about myself, I was racing 12 year olds Brian, I could totally see you with your camera over the wheel in your Miata as you described it at the bar. Those pics only solidified the mental picture. Saw a good friend of mine here today. A Sergeant from Pendleton. He just bought a new black 12R and I didn't even know it! I asked if he could make springfast but alas he'll still be in the desert playing Marine here in Yuma at that time. |

Hey Wycked, What's that big bright thing in the sky? We're getting ready now, should be ready by 1100hrs. We're gonna hit Dennys on 51st and T-bird about 10 o'clock, and be ready to ride after that. I need to get gas, what I'm producing this morning wont run the bike. So we gonna do South mountain? I'm ready! Give me a call when you get a chance. BuellHo |

Sure wish I was still over there. I am rotting here at work. 48 hour shift started Sat morning. My exhaust isn't quite right now that you mention it Bart I wanted to do the trackday at Springfest at Firebird for my B-day so bad, but couldn't get out of work. Do any of you know if they allow textile suits like Bart and I have on the track?? Or do you have to have leather??? (Message edited by charlieboy6649 on March 20, 2005) |

They describe what they will allow at AZTrackday.com (I think that's the URL). They prefer elbow, knee and shoulder armor as I recall... They recomend a back protector... Lemme go find it... http://www.aztrackday.com/policies.asp Pertinent info... "Rider Requirements 1. HELMET - An UNDAMAGED full-faced helmet. 2. GLOVES - Full leather gloves that leave NO EXPOSED SKIN on the hands or wrist. 3. BOOTS - Over the ankle boots, preferably leather. 4. LEATHERS - Full leathers are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged. If you don't own leathers, try to borrow a set or you can rent full leathers and just the pants if you have your jacket at the track for $25 - $35 per day (Supply is limited). On-piece and two-piece Aerostich/Textile/Cordura/Balistic type Touring and Sport suites are acceptable as long as they have armor. Bike Requirements 1. Your mirrors must be completely taped and folded in, if possible. Personally, I recommend removing them completely as it is one less thing to break if you crash. 2. Headlights and taillights must be COMPLETELY taped over. If you are leaving the turn signals on, please tape them over as well. 3. Make sure that all other fasteners (body hardware, brake caliper bolts, etc.) are properly tightened. 4. Tires must be in GOOD condition with plenty of tread remaining. 5. Chain or Belt must be in GOOD condition with no signs of RUST or DEGRADATION and adjusted properly. 6. All levers and controls must operate freely. Throttle must SNAP BACK to the off position when released. 7. Intermediate and Advanced Groups ONLY. If your bike is water cooled, Remove the anti-freeze and replace it with straight water, or water with a water pump lubricant such as WaterWetter by RED LINE. " |

Hmmm, gotta admit, this little beast handles like a dream! It feels like a big dirt bike. Big grins all weekend! Although IMHO the '98 S1W does pull harder and accelerate quicker than the XB9, but then again, this City X is still being broken in.
