Buellman, I live in SW Fort Worth just off of Granbury Rd and I-20. Hate to hear about your health issues. Do you like riding to the south and west of FW? |

highway 4 from granbury to jacksboro is always a good one , also fm 917 joshua to i35w is good also , if you can get a day with little traffic. haven't had a chance to explore as much as i would like to . |

Yes, Hwy 4 is the best. There are many nice roads just south and north of Hwy 67 from Cleburne to Stephenville. Keep your eyes on this thread. Hopefully we'll be planning some rides soon. |

Just got back from trackday on Monday in Cresson. It was pretty good, a lot of people asking about the XB. One guy on a busa I talked to was REALLY excited to sit on my bike, he's thinkin about getting one for his wife. There are a lot of Novice riders around here I guess cause that category was PACKED. There are several more scheduled in the next couple weeks, one is at Texas Motor Speedway. |

Jared, How many novice riders were in that category? Did you take their class, if offered? If so how did you like it? |

RPMChris, I can stop by Pennington Field around 12:30 Saturday if you still want to make the road races in Cresson. Maybe we can take the long way back home through Hwy 4. Anybody else interested? |

There were about 25-30 people in the first class. It was on the verge of being crowded, but luckily they capped the class at that number and there was just enough room. This was my second track event and the second track class I attended, both with RideSmart. I liked my first class better, but then again it was over a two day period instead of just one day. There was a lot of extra material that we were able to cover in the two day class. Sometimes one of the instructors was even able to follow a rider with a video camera and we were able to watch it and point out different things in class. Not sure if they do that all the time, but it sounded like they were going to try to do it a little more often. All of the instructors that I've talked to know what they're talking about and do a pretty good job of teaching. They're all experienced racers. I'm not sure what the classes are like for the other levels, but I'll definitely take any classes offered for my riding level, there's always more to learn, even from fellow students. |

Also, in the Novice class there were several different levels of riders. Some were able to move up to the second class right away, and some were very inexperienced and timid. The slower riders had instructors riding behind them and directing traffic around them pretty well to keep congestion low. The point is, they were able to keep it safe to have the slower riders on the track. |

It was a great day for riding, and Uncle Bob (Forrest) and Navygunner (Patrick) and I ate lunch and rode out to Cresson to Motorsport Ranch. It was great meeting another DFW Bueller! I wish we could've started earlier. Stay tuned for a planned riding and/or social event in the near future - Navy and I are determined to get everyone together!!! |

Both days were great for riding! Lately I've had to squeeze the rides in around selling one house, buying another, planning a wedding, and getting ready for Little Dago (due in early November). Oh yeah...and a job. Things are great though. I found a house in Highland Village that we both love. The best part is that it's very hilly in that area. The road to my house is nice and twisty! This also mean that I'll start heading North more often. I have a feeling I'm going to be following Navy around a bit very soon. |

Highland Village? I know lots of nice stretches through there. The road you are talking about wouldn't be Copper Canyon Road? Thats one of my avoid 35E traffic secrets. If you are serious about moving up here you need to plan a trip up at 5 o'clock. If you still love it, buy away. I wish I knew about how bad traffic was up here before I bought. Most days it takes me 45 minutes to an hour to get home from Flower Mound(8 miles as a bird flies). Highland Village is beautiful and I know lots of people who live there, just be aware of traffic in Flower Mound and the surrounding area. |

I just bought the house here: It's a fantastic area. My drive to work is only 1 mile further (now 17 miles) from the new house than it was from the old house. Your traffic comments concern me a bit, but not enough to cancel my contract. I'll be leaving each morning ~6:45 and heading to Beltline and the Tollway. Am I going to get hammered (35 > Bush > Tollway)? I did a little exploring over there last Saturday. But I would love to get the inside scoop on the nice rides from a fellow Bueller.

Congradulations on the house, I didn't mean to scare you to much. That is a wonderful neighborhood with good schools. I know several people in your area(good people). You will find the trick to southbound 35 is to catch it in pockets. Ten minutes could make or break your commute. You have one advantage I don't have, you are at least south of the lake. I deal with it every day. I am literally right across the lake from you. The five o'clock commute is a different story however, you have one way in or out FM407. Don't waste your time trying to take short cuts through Flower Mound until the 2499 project is complete in 2009. Other than that I can show you some cool off the beaten path roads your Buell will love that actually connect Highland Village and Corinth via the western route around the lake. If you ever need anything please feel free to call me (940) 595-0263. I am off work on Wed,Thurs and Fridays and am always riding on those days. With advance notice I can break from work on weekends that I'm not at the base. |

I had a great time last Saturday at the races and look forward to meeting more of you. I plan on doing some riding this Sunday with my step-father around Lake Possum Kingdom. Hopefully the weather will hold out. |

Navy, I should close within the next 2 weeks. Thanks for all the great info. I'm itchin to follow you around. I just ran into a guy during lunch on a nice 12r with a powder coated header, latus, and undertail kit. Hopefully he'll post here today. |

ahhh, I just posted at XBoard....had not found post yet. Dago, I really like those break and clutch leavers. I was thinking about something like that but did not want to spend the cash on something so small. It's great to know there are other around here with this bike. They're my favorite add-on to date! That latus sounds great. Have you been on the dyno? Why did you choose the latus? |

No dyno as of yet and I'm really not sure as to why I chose the Latus. I knew I didn't want something as loud as everyone claimed the D&D to be and I had only heard complaints about the race exhaust sound. The Latus seemed to be a happy medium. I'm pretty sure my neighbors still think that Latus is to loud. |

Do check out James' log of the Twisted Thrills. Really good stuff! Somewhat disturbing in parts, but like how when you are channel surfing and it's sometimes difficult to flip the channel when you come across Jerry Springer, I think you'll find it intriguing and educational. |
