CRAP!!! I may need some help. I was in the process of replacing the tensioner shoe on my 2000 M2 and I broke the shift arm that clamps on to the shift shaft. I'm going to call Stone Mountain tomorrow (and every other place in Atlanta) to get another one, but I may not be able to make it up there during business hours on Friday (I live 140 miles away). I had planned on doing both days of March Madness. If I can get this part at Stone Mountain, could someone get it for me and so I could pick it up Friday evening? I'll go anywhere in the metro Atlanta area to meet you. If not, I'll pick it up Saturday morning and ride to Suches in the afternoon. There may be a chance that no dealer in town will have this relatively obscure part (Buell stopped using it in 2001). If anyone hase an extra one laying around I'll pay full price for this part in any condition. Help a brother out... Thanks, Danny cell 706 464-5187 |

Danny, It's the same part as on a Sportster. Any Harley dealer should have one. Worse case I'll bring a spare up to TWO for ya. |

Glitch: I didn't read your idea(s)completely on the points cover, and made one and painted it black. You can test this one for fit, look, etc, then I can make you another one that is polished later. |

"Danny, It's the same part as on a Sportster." Seeing as how you own one, you must be right. Is it the shift arm for forward mount pegs on a Sportster? I may be able to get one from my local Harley dealer. If not, I may still need some help getting one. |

Frank, thanks for the info, btw. I'm not familiar with Sportsters, so I Googled a bunch of images of the shifter. Hope the local dealer has one. |

Cameron, thanks for the offer. Looks like the local HD dealer will has this part. Frank was right, the shift arm on the shifter assembly is the actual shift lever for a Sportster. Hopefully I won't break it trying to get it on! Thanks 3 Percenters. See you all at TWO this weekend - rain or shine. |
