Absolutely outstanding photo essay. Keep posting the pics. Between Dyna and Jose's pics I really feel like I was there. Not to mention, they didn't focus on the BS on Mainstreet and showed us a flavor of Bike week that the Moto Mags often miss. Got a real kick out of the Bling Bling Rice Rockets. There were hundreds of them in West Bend, Wisconsin last year for the National Round Up. Have to admit that is an art form I am having a difficult time with. When it comes to sport, I prefer function over form. Yet those things sure are pretty. POST MORE PICS!!! Psst...anybody got a pic of Blake without the cap??? I just want to see if he went Skin Head on us. LOL |

I was there in 1976 to watch what I believe was the first Superbike race. Two trick monoshock Butler & Smith BMWs came in first and second, and Cook Nielson came in third on his Ducati SS. He won the next year. |

Excellent shots, Greg! The photos do focus on parts of the Daytona Experience that most people don't participate in. Whatever program you used to compress them is workig better than the one I'm using (XAT), mine are coming out a bit blurrier than yours. |

Greg, you got a picture of our three bikes (1313, Spike, Me)in the Nextel Tower shot. If you look in front of the Yamaha truck you will see a White SUV. Next to the SUV you see a red spot. That is my M2 and Mike's Firebolt. It's like a puzzle, see if you can find them. The three of us were looking for the Buell Demo truck at the time. If you look at the speedway map, we are where it should have been. We later rode around the speed and found it. We were also looking for Jose and little later he found us. Very cool pics. |

Time for some more pics, here's Erik again in the front row. You guys missed a good time with Erik telling us stories from his racing days. Bikes lined up & ready to race. This is a beautiful track now that they have redone the garage area. Another view of our suite No particular order to any of the following pics, its just the way I uploaded them. One of the hundereds of customized Busas we saw. The Freddy bike has been in mags before. Air suspenison & remote start We hit the dirt track for some racing one night but for some reason all my pics of that night look like crap. Turboed & stretched busa. Hanging out at my favorite restaurant...although Saddle Jacks in Ormond Beach might displace it in the rankings this year I guess a Boss Hoss just isnt enough so you need a big block along with a tunnel ram & 2 4 bbl carbs. One of Indian Larrys last bikes. Wild tank on this bike.

Whats odd is this is the Iron Horse, yet out in Sturgis they have the Full throttle saloon which looks exactly like this. Here in Daytona the Full Throttle is more like your average corner bike week bar. Its almost like 1 company owns them all..hell maybe they do?? More Thunderbike racing Another pic from Stellas. Pretty cool Victory Chopper Jose got to take Nancy for a ride on her own bike. Couple nice wheelies after the Thunderbike race. Check out these slider mounts, fella from New Hampshire did them himself. They looked very stout.

Some pelicans that were bombing the crowd waiting for the satellite launch. Another flyby & everytime they would drop a bomb or 2 More Michelle smith with a cowboy. I think the lights were messing up my camera. The Thunderbikes were loud, but not nearly as loud as the bikes during the 200 race. Skywriter getting pretty creative. BadS1 with the covert finger flip & Jake having a great time at the track.

Mainstreet was a zoo some nights. Best site I saw was cute honey wearing a very small pair of black panties that said "wanna ride" on them. She was on the back of a sportbike & shaking her very shapely butt at the crowd. Pinewood cemetary across from Boot Hill. Quite possibly the longest set of pipes I have ever seen on any bike. Back at the Cancun lagoon. Coolice & BadS1 reattaching the cables for our dvd player. Watched Faster, The story of John Britten, etc. Communication central, we had cell phone, GPS, XM radio, satellite tv, etc. Garage area Myself & Hacking again. Hot little umbrella girl She is tiny.well in most places

Hey Greg, the lighting for both the dirt track and supercross events made it tough for people with regular cameras way up in the stands to get decent shots, yours came out pretty good. Mine were just as bad. That Banana Fosters desert we ate on Monday was awesome, pure sugar but it was great! The picture with Hacking was a lucky coincidence, we were walking back to the bikes and we cut through were all the RV's were parked and I saw Jamie hanging out outside and he was kind enough to pose with Greg for some shots. I'm sure it made Hacking's day to stand next to the almighty Dyna! |

Mutt2jeff... and if you want to meet Erik Buell, pop over to the Buell site and sign up for the next homecoming. I would bet you will get the opportunity. I hope to be there, and look forward to meeting all sorts of badwebbers. |

John, sorry about that. Brad and I were talking about someone named Mike. It was good to meet you Saturday. Looking forward to riding with the gang this summer. Don't forget, we need to figure out where we'll meet April 3rd. |
