I am scheduled for the whole event. But here is my question. Just what is the schedule for this gathering? Does it actually kick off on July 30th so we should be there on the 29th? Or should we check in on the 30th because it really begins the next day? |

Check in is on the 30th. You should be getting a letter from Fontana stating check in/out times. As far as I'm concerned, it starts the second my bike rolls off the trailer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But we'll have to set up some "official" meeting place and time for the 30th also. Plus once we get a better idea when most people will be there, we'll have to set up a place to hook up as cell phones don't work there due to no signal!! Racerboy has posted a lot of good info we can use to set up some rides also. |

All the rental info is back in the Archives. Just look, and you'll see how to go about the discount and all. |

I want to go!!! Fontana is an RCI resort. My folks are trekkin to Arkansas for a car show the week before, and planning to stay with friends for a couple days. I'm tryin' to talk them into buying some timeshare time, so I dont have to pay for the full week. But if I have to pay, I will be in touch with the resort before the cutoff, and will be looking for roomates. So, basically....I'M GOING!!!! (anybody from east Va. going?) p.s. I will be the slow XB9 at the back of the pack. (Message edited by tank_bueller on March 09, 2005) |

Sweet! I'll be willing to bet you'll be able to find a roomy even after the cut off date. That makes 15 riders just from the website and personal friends that are going that I know of. Plus the others I get emails from that got it off the tail of the dragon website, plus I believe some others from around the area are going to stop by, I believe it was Glitch and s few others? I bet we're close to 23-30 bikes now. Man am I looking forward to this trip!! |

Just adding fuel to the fire Hellion! Tank, glad you can make it. Look over on the Quick Board. Some-one's looking for a place to stay. Maybe you can work something out. I think we're up to about 25 bikes now. This trip won't come soon enough. |

O.K. this deal is like, 4 months from now, and I'm trying to find an excuse to start packing I like Rocco's idea of a meeting spot on the 30th(sat), but I have never been there, so I'm not picking a spot. I won't even be there til' 4-5 o-clock, and that's if I leave at 6:30-7 am. I also like the idea of terrorizing a local resturant one night(or more). Again, I've never been there..........but hoping to get a t-shirt I'm still trying to figure out why Ingemar is bringing beer in a crate?????....a cooler would work much better(I'm bringing one), and the rooms/cabins have fridges. Either way, the PARTY IS ON!!!! So, who is going to be there, and when?????? tank p.s. thanks again for setting this deal up, and let me know if I can help. |

Going to a Dealership in April that Erik will be at playing with his band. Going to bring in a few things to see if he'll sign them and give them out as Door Prizes at our dinner there. Shawn Higbee was there last time. I'll see if he'd be willing also. Though after Daytona, he may not even be there. I'll keep you posted. |

FYI, I would strongly suggest whether you've been to the Dragon or not, no matter your riding skill, that you go to www.tailofthedragon.com and look under the "Deal's Gap" heading. I think it's near the top under the weather report. They have a lot of good, common sense articles on how to ride the Dragon, what to expect, scary @ss pictures of vehicles on blind corners in the wrong lane. Basically gives you good ideas and suggestions from people that live there and ride it a lot. You can never relax while riding it, and the more you know, the better chance you have of remembering what a good time you had instead of your trip to the Hospital. I hope everyone has the time of their lives, but most of all, that no one gets hurt! |

I'm still trying to figure out why Ingemar is bringing beer in a crate????? Because I'm a cheap and crates are cheaper. But that's over here, probably different over there. But hey! Whatever gives us what we want. BBQ would be cool, no? |

Ok, we are all from different places! What kind of BBQ do y'all like??? Places south of VA serve killer vinegar based sauce, but here, folks like more of a tomato based sauce. The place in the link above combines the two, and it's good. I can bring some, if y'all think it will be eaten?? tank can somebody post another pic, it's been over a week, and I need a fix |

Rocket, deal on the meat/sauce thing!! I'll bring some of their pork BBQ also, but the sauce is good for everything. Oh, and you suck for the miata pic. There's a miata "thing" starting the 29th, thru the weekend, but I can't bring both the bike and the hotrod. I still can't wait!!!!! |

You'll have more fun with the bike! I've started to accumulate some Buell items that I'm hoping to get Erik Buell to sign to give away as Door Prizes at the dinner. No raffle, no money to exchange hands. Just everyone puts their name in a hat and we'll go from there. If anyone wants to bring a shirt or something from their local Dealership to throw into the pool, please do. But don't feel obligated. |
