Anyone running a Latus slip on? Does the ecm have to be replaced? What do you think of the pipe?....John |

I'm running the Latus with race ECM and cut air box. The pipe sounds great and seems to perform great. It's basically a modified Edelbrock car muffler. The chrome tips take a pretty good beating from gravel and the paint peeled off between the outlets, That part of the pipe gets a lot of abuse from road debris so prob normal. Just remember your ear plugs! |

I have a Latus without the ECM. It pops a lot due to running a little lean. Waiting for the ECM to come in now. Sounds great and it's loud. |

Ok let me change my question. What do you guys recommend for exhaust thats medium in sound(low being factory and D&D being the high)? Is replacing the ecm a must? I live in southern california and it gets hot so lean condition is a problem.....John |

Buy the Buell Race Kit. It's a set it and forget it thing, that is if you want that, or you can read the endless posts about exhaust systems and the hunt for that last elusive horsepower and the constant dicking around with settings, adjustments, and my bike just doesn't feel rights. Who, BTW do you think has more dyno time with XB exhausts than our good friends at Buell? |

Who, BTW do you think has more dyno time with XB exhausts than our good friends at Buell? The Screaming Eagle folks? After all they designed the Buell Race muffler. But you're right, it's plug and play, good value for the price, and it sounds pretty good to boot. |

Aldaytona: by "set it and forget it" do you mean to imply that they have the bugs worked out of the supposed 'race' kit ECM for the xb12? If there is a new or updated part number for an XB12 race ecm i would sure like to obtain one. |
