Just got my protectors in. Anyone got some recommendations on how to install them? I was thinking about industrial double sided tape. I want to be able to remove them if I have to. |

they sell a decent tape at the local parts store.....its used to repair loose molding on a car..... just don't make them too easy to0 remove...someone might walk off with them |

Can you remove them without damaging them if you use silicone? |

I used lots of double sided tape (4 rolls) and a bead of black silicone sealant on the front edges. |

depemds on how much you use,but it remains flexible when cured so i guess if you take it really easy its possible......but why would you want to take them off at any point? they are there to protect the frame so id leave them on,in the event of a tumble and they get damaged your not going to be that carefull removing them then |

Of course...but there may come a time where I'd like to go back to the polished frame. For now, I'm just sick of polishing it all the time. So I just want to cover it up for who knows how long(probably a long time) and be able to remove them without damaging them. |

I just put one on with industrial double sided tape....a lot of it. It holds really well, but what if the tape melts from the heat of the engine? Anyone think this is possible. Or just heat from being in the sun. I do live in South FL. Summers are F'n hot! Any thoughts? |
