Thanks all. I am impressed by the quality of a $100 expenditure. As he and I coat more stuff we learn more and we get better. Like yesterday, one lever took powder perfectly and the other wasn't?!?!? Turned out that we have coated the over rack with so much powder over time that there was a ground issue where that particular lever was hanging. Cleaned up the rack and everything was perfect. It is so cool to powder stuff and in about an hour bolt the parts back on to your bike or whatever. Beats paint by a mile. I highly recommend the kit. Check with used appliance places for a cheapo, used oven and you're done. |

Odie, I found out that there is a coating on the wheels (the rough part) that had to be stripped to get the powder to stick to the center part of Shred's wheel. I don't know how they went about stripping it though, blasted or chemical. |

New12r, I'll post if anything changes, as of now I'm outta here at 3:30. I decided not to get the Ghost Rider jacket, I found out from someone that had it, that it was like a parachute at speed. I ordered this one yesterday. Ought to have it by next week.

Glitch, the paint or whatever it was on the centers was VERY thick. Between chems and blasting I finally got it down to the bare metal but still could not get anything powder to stick to it....oh well. I'm happy with them the way they are now. I'm in the middle of putting all my new, powdered stuff on right now. Looking good...... |

Hulley glad to hear it, you're the 5th person to say it was a good choice. I hate to retire my Teknic Lightning, but it's old and has seen better days. Not to mention the leather that's now missing. Odie, I can't wait to see how it all looks put together. Did you do the cam cover as well as the primary cover? |

My jacket just got delivered! I was told I would have to wait 1 or 2 days before they could even ship. Kudos to New Enough! |

B_S- right back at'cha... Glitch- negative on the cam cover; not enough time right now. A few months from now I'll do it though. Problem is the manual says the heads need to come off to reinstall it. It's not THAT important for it to be black. I would like it to be though. Eventually........ Everything is looking good so far. I'm working on the primary cover now and then all I have to do is put the front end back together. Then take it all back apart when the new modules arrive.........I'll post a pic in a few hours when I'm done.....Later, Odie |

Odie, New12r and I were talking about how much you'd have to do to do the cam case. A lot of work for powder coating. We thought if we were to go that far we might as well get a set of hot cams and make it really worth while. Can't wait to see it. New12r, you done with that Shed yet, or did you and Shred head up to the mountains? B_S, Looks like there will be something on the tube if the weather turns bad. After I watch Faster again, I got the two disk set, man that's an awesome movie, and the extra disk is every bit as good as the movie. |

Stealth, I'll check around here. Pep Boys, Auto Zone, NAPA, NOPI, someone local has got to have one on hand. If you want call around this afternoon. I will also after I get home. There's bound to be one in the Greater Atlanta Metro Area. Right now though I'm gonna get outta here! |

Theres a speed shop off Old National, can't remember the name at the moment, that sells it by the roll. Figure Dave you'de want the black stuff to go with the rest of the bike, they have that as well. I'll do some checking myself. |

Odie, I'm jealous, that looks great. Stealth, I *think* I'm free this weekend, if you come this way I'm sure between all of us here in L'ville we can find something to do. All I can think of right now is baseball practice tomorrow at 11:30. Don't know what Shred is up to, he bugged out to be with his girl before I got a chance to talk to him. New12r? Just got my new Eastwood catalog. I'd like two of everything! |
