My brother has an '05 12R. He's running a K&N, Stock ECM, D&D, and TFI. He just got his bike dyno tuned last week. His bike is running great. I'll check the TFI settings when he gets home. |

I won't give my settings because I'm running a Force pipe and they are pretty far out there compared to the stock recommendation. That doesn't matter though... Get a TFI. |

Mark, I'm running the same setup as you with the exception of the air filter -- I'm using the Buell race filter which is essentially the same as the K&N. I'm currently running the recommended settings and it runs very well. Haven't had time to play with minor tweaks yet, but mounted the TFI box where the muffler motor was so it'll be easy to tweak -- just need to leave the outer cover off and go for a ride... |

I'm running d&d, k&n filter, ported air box, stock ECM & a power commander. Dyno readings posted on thread " race ECM with d&d or not?". (Message edited by crnrstr8nr on February 22, 2005) |

Thanks to all you guys that contribute to this site that have lead me down this route - 2004 XB12R 1,700 miles Pulled snorkel, K&N Air filter, Techlusion TFI,Standard ECM Buell race can. G=3.5 Y=7 R=4 RPM/O2=7 Dynojet 168 Dynamometer. Compared against stock (although had pulled snorkel) - No gain / small losses below 3,400 RPM. Rising to a creditable 10hp gain between 4,700 and 5,500 RPM. Tails off to 4 hp gain at 6,750RPM. I need more dyno runs to sort out top end, may cut cut airbox top first as I imagine the gains found at the upper midrange can be released at the top! Weather bad here now so won't be for a while! It was special, it's better now! |
