Just got the ST back from it's "routine" service. Although it's the major one. Only thing wrong was three of the exhaust valves were a bit tight (they said). Got the fuel recall done, too. Anyway, $593 later (that's without the oil change since I'd done that myself), it's ready for the season. Loni, keep me as 'tentative' for Daytona. I'm planning on being there, but it's still a ways ahead to make sure nothing else conflicts! | ||

So far there is nothing that I can think of that will keep atleast me from coming. I went and picked up the S1 from Mollala yesterday, got it back here and in my newly cleaned out garage area. Now I just have to figure out what to do next. I guess it needs to be taken to latus or something and get looked at. I dont have the time nor want to mess with it my self anymore. So I guess I have to wait a while and come up with some money. Pulled the Blast out last night and got it moved over to the new garage as well, started it and let it run. Steve, did the upper part of the exhaust, right next to the motor. always glow red when you started it? I only had it running maybe 5 minutes and it seemed to be idling way higher then before and the exhaust turned red?? Then when I turned it off it say and looked as if there was oil being burned off?? | ||

Branden,what was done to bike and what needs to be done?This was at night in dark garage?May be ok,my Olds drag car would make the headers glow.Check plugs to see if it's running lean and then spray carb cleaner or similar around intake seals to check for leaks.Idle change may be leak. | ||

Branden, what Jim said. Never saw a glow there. Auto choke will run pretty high rpms til warm, and I do mean warm. You can adjust the idle screw with a short screw driver. Glad to hear you got a garage to work out of. That must have been quite a chore. | ||

I have no idea what is going to be needed with the S1 still have to have someone take the top end apart and see what it is, could be small, but I doubt it with my luck. As for the blast, I let it run for a while, it never seemed to tone down, like it did when I first got it. I never noticed the smoke or glowing red headers before either, and I had ran the bike at nite once, course it was moving and not just sitting in the driveway. | ||

Should be able to make the brag meeting this time. Roc, I'll try to get back out to the molalla garage and get that tool and the rest of the parts I have out there, they moved a bunch of stuff into the rafters and it was not ready for me to pick it up when I was out to get the bike. So tell me more about this racing you are doing out there shotgun. What CC's and what not? | ||

Posted on the Splash thread, but thought I would ask here. Whats the plan? Days and locations and such? Saw there is a back up plan in discussion incase St. Helens is being tempermental again this summer. Working on being able to make it. I'll have just finished moving at the time, but should be able to make the trip. | ||

Oh yeah, and I went in to see if those hats were in, at Paradise Harley/Buell and was told they are not getting them. Something about Buell not letting them know about it, then when they requested them they either were told no, or they were already all out, im not sure, I got a few different stories about it. But in all it was good cause they gave me a new hat. SO, dont tell them I told ya.... | ||
