Attention... attention... I would like to make an announcement! Eric... you might want to read this one! And you may get a call from the dealership to discuss the below information... and to show you they truly want your business, and will work with you! I got a call from Roger Fleener at Gails’ HD. As many of you know, I have been in contact with the dealership as it relates to our expectations from them as a Buell dealer. Best example... the hat promotion that hiccuped... and Eric walking out with incorrect information on Buell selling prices. My intervention has not fallen on deaf ear... and my input has been well received. There has been a meeting at the dealership related to the current and correct MSRP, and prep & setup charges. The dealership discovered that they WERE NOT current on the factory MSRP... and they have adjusted the prices down to match what the Buell website indicates. It also sounds like they have adjusted freight & setup charges to be more competitive with the other Buell dealers in the area. The call was to let me know they have identified the problem which led to Eric not having the correct selling price when he walked out. AND that they take seriously a problem where someone might walk out and they lose a sale. They asked me to relay this information to all from this venue. --The prices have been adjusted to be correct as listed on the Buell website. --The freight & setup fee has been adjusted to be competitive. --They want a buyer to ask the price rather than hang it on a tag from the handle bars, so the customer must ask... so sales staff has the opportunity to talk to you... and work out a sale where both the dealership and the customer is happy. –They expect that after you are contacted you make a counter offer, or you knowing the MSRP make an offer with the MSRP the starting point. Additionally... I spoke with Chris... who works for Gail and is also a club officer... and he has been addressing the same issues that I have from his end as a Buell enthusiast and as a Gail’s employee... who I will ad... wants this dealership to be at the same level of Buell dedication as Appleton WI and Dave. Progress is being made!!! That is a great step towards the goal Chris wants to see from the dealership he works for... and as a brother Bueller! See ya all at the meeting. |

aahh, I emailed "sales" @feelthepower.com on Sunday and put ATTN: (salesguy i talked to) but didn't get an email back yet (tuesday at 5:30pm). I included the link to Buell's website that showed the MSRP at $10,495 and told them that Buell has lowered the price of the XB9s every year since they came out and lowered the price of the XB12s for '05 too. Asked what freight & set-up was too, and told them that it seems like the BRAG/KC Mob members on badweb really want to help improve Gail's. Again, I've got some time before I can buy this summer so they won't lose a sale if they don't rush back to my personally but in the future for other buyers a return email would be nice. I emailed 10 or so other dealerships around the KC/midwest area and 6 of the 10 or so wrote something back...a couple just said call for pricing when i specifically asked for pricing <rolling eyes>. My oldest brother was asking me this weekend about the MSF course I took, I told him he can take it through the HD dealerships now and it's the same thing (right?). He wants to get into cruisers a bit (30yo finacial adviser who LOVES American Chopper lol and has a couple good friends that ride). Hes thinking some used cheap japanesse cruiser for this summer and then a HD next year. We might head up to Gail's this week or next weekend just to look around again...I'm sure I'll get everything figured out then. |

If Gail's wants to be like Appleton, then they need to implement the 10% discount. It is still cheaper to buy from Dave in bulk, but if Gail's shows that they are willing to grab our business then I will shop with them. Maybe a 10% discount for club members only and we have to show our card when we buy something. Just an idea. |

Hey Drake maybe you should try to get a rebate since you bought your bike with the wrong MSRP at Gails. Just a thought. |

Things usually don't change overnight. I am here to say I give Dave in Appleton as an example to them VERY often. I am hoping we are moving in that direction... and I am trying to be encouraged with the apparent progress made in the last 45 days. Yep it has only been about a month and a half since this all really started. I think so far they have a decent "grade card". I also know Chris is working on the inside with our efforts often addressing the same issue with the same type suggestions to correct/improve. AND we are not working deliberately in concert... it just happens we are seeing the same issues and recommending the same solution. I think Chris quietly stands and works in the background... and though less public than me... is going above and beyond for both the dealership and the club. Quietly seeking to make things better. We have a good man working for the sake of our club! Also... as a club member we get "points" for any money spent on almost anything at Gail's. I will see if Roger will explain that again at the meeting. I don't know if it ends up being better than 10% in the long run... but someone remember to have me address this at the meeting Thursday. It is good even on service if I remember correctly... and I don't think Appleton does 10% on service... I'll look into this for the club. (Message edited by dasbuell on February 15, 2005) |

Talked to "FatBoy" at Gail's yesterday, he said that there should be 2-3 then later 4 trained personell on the Riders Edge courses real soon. He also said that for the Buells test rides, a while back they had test rides and the third person out ruined it for all, the guy couldn't keep both tires on the ground (Sam comes to mind for some odd reason), and he insisted in weaving thru traffic like a mad man (Dennis)(mad man), any way, hope this all evens up when its time to let people know what these bikes are all about. Guess we will see?? |

Dennis, How do the track the points for items we buy? Because they have never said anything to me when I have purchased items from them. Is it for club members only or is it a general public thing that just goes with your name? If its for club members then how do they do it since I have never been asked for anything that would show I am a member of Brag or even for a Hog card. Just some quick questions for ya. |

Tim, I asked about the same thing at the store. The cards are suppose to be ready at this meeting, however all the stuff you buy before you get the card does not count. So hold off on any big purchases if you can or if you care. |

TO WHOMEVER:Blue Springs HD,has had the point system, for the last couple of years now.WHATEVER you buy, goes on the card, and periodically, they send you a gift certificate, you dont have to be a member of ANY CLUB or GROUP to get the card.Gails is just starting to do the same thing, except if Im understanding it correctly, you have to be a CLUB member to get the points. Also,it DOESNT end up being even close to 10% in the long, short,or any run you want. Its just an incentive to spend your money here, but ANYTHING they give is better than NOTHING. |

Kccyclone, I have already made most of my large purchases for this year. Would have went to Gail's but I am one who looks for the best price and Central had it with their closeout and also used Dave in WI. Just got a pimp helment (not a beanie a real helmet - Sam) for a $100 off. Also got a pimp leather jacket for $122 off of the original price. Got a bunch of other stuff from Dave: corbin seat, tank bag, frame pucks, and other maintance items. So maybe the next time I'm ready for some saddle bags or who knows what (always ready to buy shirts) Gail's will have some Buell stuff in stock otherwise why wait for them to order it when Daves has it in stock and I still pay less? It'll be nice when Gails gets some Buell stuff in stock other then what was left over from Blue Springs. That would help them earn my business. So far I have had a great experience with Gails, so I am looking forward to them getting some stuff in stock. I do want to support Gail's and I know in the near future it will be my dealership of choice but not until they earn my business by ordering some items to keep in stock. |

Guys, I bought Tina's XB at Centeral and they gave a good discount below MSRP and did not add freight or prep on to it and the because I asked threw in a helmet on top of the deal and she could pick any helmet she wanted. That is the kind of deal you should look for and maybe Central has some XB's left. I have absolutly nothing aginst any other shop just sugesting you could get a good deal if you look. |

Yes... There is a card besides the BRAG membership card. They come soon after membership in BRAG or HOG. The club just received the BRAG membership cards, Sam has those cards as of last weekend. The "points" cards come from Roger Fleener at the dealership. We will corner him at the meeting tomorrow night on this. |
