Any of ya'll seen that 3% thread about big happenings at SMHD and T.W.O? We could do this deal fellas. My house is somewhere near the mid point of the trip for those of you from the RTP area (about 180 miles or so.) If ya'll wanted to work something up we could roll in to Georgia, in mass, I'm in for sure. Advise. G2 |

I'm hating it. We have plans to go to T.W.O. a couple of weeks later. It will be tough for me to make the run twice since I am limited on time off. |

Open to all adventures, someone will be able to make it. I'm impressed with what SMHD has been able to pull off-Bravo! Concerning meetings, that's still in a state of flux. The meeting this Sunday is to gather that kind of intel, we want to make this chapter as accessible as possible. The goal is simple, ride, have fun, and promote the Buell experience. When you get over this way in May, please give one of us a shout........ Dave |

> Dave, Unfortunately I've been living half of my life in your area. My current contract has me in the RTP nearly every weekend for the next 22 months. The only show stopper is my work schedule, while in the RTP, keeps me either at work or in bed. I'll try to break away once the weather clears up a bit and we can go grab some lunch. Jlance knows how to get in touch with me. Later. G2 |

I had thought the meeting time had been set at 3:30, but it is not 100% clear in the previous posts. Ayden, can you confirm the actual time? The address is: Shelton's Buell 606 Corporate Drive Goldsboro, NC, USA 27534 Coming from Raleigh, it's easy. Head east on Hwy 70 to Goldsboro. Get off at the Williams St. exit, left on the service road right next to Goldsboro Chrysler Dodge Jeep. Excerpted from one of Ayden's previous posts. 1313 |

Bigdaddy, yeah man, give a shout when you get this far east, we'll see if we can make it happen. I know that we'll be heading your way some this summer. M2nc has in-laws not too far away in Virginia. Just one question: Is RTP that bad? |

Name of chapter: Carolina Corner Carvers C-cubed was chosen to represent the Carolina presence, particularly for national/regional BRAG events. Category 5, or Cat 5 and Asphalt Assault Association were very close behind. Next 'meeting': Michael's in Chapel Hill, 10:00 a.m. Sunday, February 20th. Regular meetings: 2nd Sunday of the month, 4:00 p.m. @ Shelton's in Goldsboro. Subject to change as we become more established... Did I miss anything? other than the great stories and lively discussion 1313 |

"Just one question: Is RTP that bad?" The only thing wrong with RTP is location :-) Really, it's fine, but its not Pumpkin Center. Greg |

You know, there are 3 Pumpkin Centers in NC? Lenoir, Burke and Lincoln Counties all have Pumpkin Center's... 1313 |

Jordan and I didn't really get that wet. The roads were wet and it appeared to be drizzling for most of the ride home, but by the time I arrived home my leathers weren't even wet. Overall it was a nice ride and a fun meeting, I look forward to seeing everyone at Michael's this Sunday. Mike L. '04 XB12R |

Greg - I learn more about you every time we talk. BTW, I'm pretty close to getting an M2. I have 2 people who want to sell me one. If/when that happens, I might have to make a pumpkin center tour. |

Wish I could have been there. It's gonna be a while before I can make a meeting with ya'll. Spent some time with the family yesterday. I head out on Wednesday. When I get the chance I'll drop in and say hey. Dave, you need to photoshop my bike into that picture. |

David, I'm going to have to refer that one to Brankin or someone who actually knows how to do that. Heck, I can't even figure out how to down load some pictures onto a disk without calling for help from the wife. Brank, can you do that? David, when are shipping out, aprox? Sorry you couldn't make it, you were missed, but no worry, we'll keep you abreast of goings on. I'll need an e-mail address when you get to where you'll be and you'll get what ever we spit out. I think the meeting was a success, though I learned that I'm still no good at giving directions, sorry Mike. Glad to hear that the weather kinda held off. Did pretty much the same thing with us, though still that was little comfort for Pauletta. There were a couple of time where I'd check on her and she'd put up a brave front, but you could see she was COLD. C^3 does seem to work, doesn't it. Gotta get the shirts now................ My ignition key smells like ketchup........ |

About the only thing I know about Photoshop is that it is an expensive program. Never seen it or played with it. I wish I had access to it as I have had some cool ideas I would've liked to do with the program. David, let me know what I can do for you while you are in Iraq, and we will definitely keep you posted on our doings. Be prepared for a pleasant surprise when you return as I, too, would say the meeting was a success. There's a time for quantity and a time for quality. The group we've got right now are all quality individuals. From this quality we will grow our quantity. Some of the GREAT ideas discussed during the meeting will, no doubt, help too. Ayden, it's a good thing that part of the intel gathered during the meeting was shirt sizes so that you know what sizes will be needed. It's funny, the cold really only got to me during the last 20 miles home. Then again it could've had something to do with the fact that I was doing a pretty steady 80. The rain was spotty and more of an iritation than anything else. If I knew the real door prize was the key to a 2003 XB9SL I would've been digging through the trash at the restaurant too! However, I don't think the lubricating properties of processed tomatoes are very good. Looking forward to Michael's this Sunday (and here it is only Monday...) 1313 |

Good to hear that everything went well. Looks like I'll have to ask about the ketchup story later. As soon as I get over there and online I'll drop in and give you a current email address. For the time being use my gmail account. Oh, I'm heading out on Wednesday. It's looking like I'll be there for more than seven months. I'll look forward to hearing more about C^3 . As for photoshopping my bike in, just a joke , don't worry. I have the program and I've never really sat down to take the time to learn it. Maybe I'll have the time to do so over there. I'll keep in touch, ya'll take it easy and enjoy. Have some roads ready for me to ride when I get back. Oh, you need to add a C^3 thread in the Storm Fronts. David, we already waiting for your return. Brankin, I believe that the tomato paste is more acidic, bad for lubrication. But if I knew the keys in the trash were the door prize, I would have dove in after them. Also David, I'll see what I can do with the photos. I am already working on a logo. I guess you are right, we now need to move this to C3 Storm Fronts |

Done. We have a thread on Storm Fronts simply called "C-3(Carolina Corner Carvers). Learned something too-Storm Fronts organizes in alphabetical order so it's not at the top of the page. For a minute it was "what the hell" but I figured it out. I had to keep that door prize secret, it would have cost me too much if I didn't. (David, I accidentally thew my key away at the Burger King. Must have been a sight seeing this leather clad guy burrowing through the trash can). It really got cold as we skirted the north end of Kinston along the road to nowhere by the Transpark. But we had fun, right? |

Dave, No worries about the directions. If I hadn't missed the service road it all would have made sense. About photoshop, I make no claims to my own abilities, but I do hack away at it from time to time. If there's anything you want to see let me know and I'll give it a community college try. I look forward to seeing everyone at Michael's on Sunday. Mike Luddy, Jr. '04 XB12R |
