According to the comments on the blue one, "This bike has been sitting in a crate that was unaccounted for until 2 weeks ago when we did fiscal year inventory. This bike is factory brand new! ???? how do you misplace a bike ??? Blue M2 Orange and grey with PM wheels | ||

That Black M2 has what looks like wear on the shift lever. It could be just dirty but I'd be a little suspucious. | ||

Oh, and that X1 has what looks like weaping near the top of the primary cover. I could be wrong but I don't think that ever happens unless the bike is ridden. Also this: "There is no need on showing the spedo seeing how it has zero miles." Ok, whatever.  | ||

Good eye on that front tire and my misspelling of "weeping"! I don't know if the bike has 10,000 miles or 100 miles but it's obvious the bike has been ridden. That makes me not trust what they say. If it was used as a demo, then say it was demo. But this 0 miles, tank has never seen gas, battery has never been charged stuff is obviously not true. If you look at the black M2 the rotors don't look like they have been touched by a brake pad???  I just think it is wierd!, but it may be a good deal for someone. I have the exact same Grey and Orange M2 and I paid $7,400 for it 3 years ago. | ||

Yeah, the bikes do look to be basically new but something doesn't feel right to me. I wouldn't discourage someone from buying any of these bikes but I would say, "proceed with caution". But that's good advice for any eBay auction! | ||

That '02 Volcano Gray with the orange frame and PM wheels is identical to the one I bought three years ago this month. Flawless ride. No problems. Best of the Buells in my most unbiased mind  .  | ||

I love mine also. I had a speedo sensor fail and kill my Speedometer and the rocker box gasket thing, but bother were repaired under warrenty with no problems. I don't think that X1 will be a collector bike, but imagine what a find that would be if it was an S1 or something? | ||

I've seen these bikes. They are at Stubbs H-D in Houston. They looked new to me when I saw them about a week ago. Also note they are offering a 1 year warranty. Not sure they will sell unless they have lowered their asking prices. | ||

I don't see what would cause any concern from the buyer. Unless then replace things like brake rotors (which I doubt they'd do), these bike are legit. Notice the same "weeping" look on the black M2. Additionally, you can see the "chicken strips" if you look closely. Sometimes things like that don't show well in a photo. If I was in the market, I wouldn't hesitate. JMHO. | ||

The VIN is shown in the black M2 picture. If anyone is serious, you could ask Dave to run the VIN number. It should show if it's ever been titled or had the recalls done. | ||

I should have written the numbers down, but didn't. It seems like something in the $8K range. I just remember thinking I could find a low mileage used one for about half what they were asking. As for how do you misplace a bike, they just moved into a new building and these were probably mixed with the Honda and Suzuki stock at the other store or warehouse. I know I lost a garage door opener once, but never a bike. I did misplace a car one time, but the police found it, well half of it, a few days later. That was my first month I lived in Montgomery Alabama. I don't miss that place much.  | ||

That is pretty wild. Loosing a bike in the ware house. At the Barber museum they have a Norton COmmando 850 with zero miles found new in the crate in a old dealership that had been boarded up. | ||

Yeah I saw them bikes sittin on the showroom floor when I was going to buy my CityX. Stubbs HD had a tiny old dealership and did apparently misplace these bikes...they recently finished building their new razmataz super bling HD/Buell showroom (Hogs used to share the floor with Honda dirtbikes! ) So when they moved all their inventory over to the new building low and behold they "FOUND" bikes! I wish I could find new motorcycles when I clean out my garage! The bikes did look nice, and I gotta admit I almost went for that grey & orange M2, but the XB won me over... later, Nick | ||

Yeah, Stubbs (South) did move into a nice new building. It's quite impressive. Like you, I wish I could find a new bike 'laying around' next time I clean up in the garage...... Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most. | ||

I've seen the garages of some dealerships that have been so cram-jam-packed with old and otherwise bikes that you couldn't get to let alone see well enough to recognize some of them. | ||

There's a former Buell dealership in Green Bay that has an UNTITLED 1996 Buell S1 on their showroom floor. It has about 400 "demo miles". If you have to ask about the price, you can't afford it (yep, almost asking full retail!!!) |
