I noticed awhile back there is a city light socket inside the headlight housing. I pulled it out from the back of the headlight and put a bulb in it. Its hard to see when the headlight is on but if you turn your key to parking light you will see it...heres the pic |

I've got a blue bulb in mine. I've seen a green on as well. Nifty huh |

I put a LED light in mine that changed color about every five seconds. Everyone always asks about it at bike nights. |

What is a "city light socket" I can't tell from your photo. Do you have a daylight pic. of the inside, and where is it? Thanks. |

Not only that, but you can turn it on and take the keys out and with you. I do it occasionally in dark parking lots on fri / sat nights (high DUI possibility) when I am running into a store for something. I am hoping it will keep some idiot with 4 beers in them from whipping into an "empty" parking place and driving over my bike. I'm gonna have to look for a blue LED to put in there, that would be VERY cool looking on a 9sx. |

That is why I was asking. I already have a bunch of blue leds on the bike. Would be nice to have the headlamps with a blue tint too. |

Once the headlights go on, the color of the running light will completely dissapear. But while just the parking light is on it will look very cool. |

I want one too. Do I have to r&r the whole assembly to put in a bulb?? I was lookin' round' in there today, thinkin' bout' signal mods, and it looks real freakin tight. tank |

Tank, you basically have to take the flyscreen off and take off the headlight assembly. Makes things mucho easier. If you have a manual just follow the instructions for headlight bulb replacement. All in all about a half hours work...Odie |
