I'm in a bind if I'm going to buy a 95 S2 this weekend. I was wondering if my 97 S1 parts will fit on it excluding the fairings. The frame and all other parts look the same as one another so I'm thinking it might work. I have a Metmachex swing arm, PM rear brakes, Carbon Fiber fenders, foot pedals and various other components. Can someone help as to what will fit and what won't. Thanks |

Sorry but you will have to give swingarm to me--- No,really. It will bolt up,frame is very different,so some stuff won't match up.PM rear brakes will go,Carbon fenders are a go,pedals---probably not.Where are you at Phillip? And what sort of S-2?Let me know what else you want to swap over.Jim. |

I use to be in Cali. but I moved to Arizona for school. I keep forgetting to change my Profile! I'd hook you up with it Jim but its going on the S2. The S2 I'm buying is in the Classified forum under bikes for sale. "1995 S2 for sale first $5000 takes it". I'm going to pick it up Sunday. I'm not knowledgeable about the different types of S2's out there. I'm still trying to learn after all these years of having a Buell. I'll let you know what else I'm going to swap when I get the S2 in Sunday. |

Up alittle late huh Jim. The amount is being undisclosed at this point of time till the sale is final. I want to pick it up tom. but its suppose to rain. I don't really want to ride it or trailer it in the rain but we'll see what the weather is like tom. I'll definately change the hyercharger and go with something else. I don't think my Force winder will work or will it? |

The backing plate will work with a Mikuni also. You may have to shorten the bolts however as the Mikuni has a blind bolt hole. |

Rear-sets for an S2?!! Man, I've been trying to figure out how to do that since I got mine. Can't wait to see pics! HellBuelly J "I never, ever ignore the speed limit. FMJ, It took me this long to remember (somewhat) about the S2 rearsets, and I really can't remember much. They looked overbuilt as essentially another sideplate was added on top of the stock sideplates. Only the highlighted areas of the stock sideplate were duplicated on the additional sideplate. I assumed that Crossroads made them as I think it was on a bike owned by an employee of Crossroads back at a Homecoming many years ago - Red S2 and an S1 side by side wheelying down Buell Drive - both worked for/had something to do with Crossroads. BTW, I think that was the same Homecoming Erik was doing 2nd and 3rd gear power-wheelies on an S1 race bike on the same street. I don't remember seeing very many of the S2 rearsets in my travels, probably why it took me this long to remember. Crossroads site currently doesn't show any rearsets for S2's... 1313 |
