I think you can pay via credit card through PayPal without having an account. Not sure though. |

Signed up with PayPal again, as it'll be a couple of weeks before I'm back in the big smoke, near the AmEx office. Should be on it's way. |

Hey Blake, like a lot of the folks here, I just want to make sure you got the money. It's showing gone from my account, but not on the tally above, so I'm beginning to wonder if you actually got it. Aside from that... I'm really stoked for the season to start so we can start seeing which deserving group gets some of our hard earned scratch.. Later, |

Hey Firebolt020283, I know I offered to cover your donation if you can't make it (due to your current location) do you need me to do so still? Please let me know and I'll forward the money to Blake. Blake, when shall we start with the finalization of the award structure? And are we going to assign any other duties to try and keep just one or two of us from doing all the work (many hands make light work after all). Please, since I think we're awaiting your lead (that and we'll have the minimum money.. soon.. Right guys an girls?). Later, |

Current award structure is 50/30/20 for first three Buells finishing the race. Anyone have any other ideas, please speak up. Note that awards structure must be the same for each race, must offer at least $500 per race. I'm hoping we can get funding to support a $1,000/race award offering for a $500/$300/$200 award scheme. We are close. Peter (Blublak), I'm assuming that everyone will make good on their pledges, so in truth we are a go to secure the contingency award program with AMAPR. I am hopeful that more people will step up and pledge though in the next week at which time we will need to send a check to AMAPR in the amount of $1,500 to cover their admin fee. I also need to put together some scheme to sell the four passes that AMAPR will bestow upon us for each event. |

Blake your contingency plan is perfect Much better then the concept I couldn't get written up. For the tix, maybe you could Ebay auction them off with the understanding that all proceeds are to be donated to the contingency fund. Maybe one of our accounting/tax types could see if that would qualify them for a charitable tax deduction? Hey a guy can dream can't he? Once I have some cashflow coming back in my donation shall arrive as well. |

Thanks Fire Man. Wait till you see what Mr. Gess has done with the calendars. There's a man who deserves our thanks. Wycked, We know your are good for it, no big rush. We have the AMAPR administrative fee and the first race awards covered. As far as taxes, hey this place is non-profit and all this will be considered as business expense/advertising for tax purposes, no need for charity status. Man if we ever start to generate a surplus cash flow, boy do I have plans for the server and web site. It will happen. |

I'll have mine in the mail tomorrow morning. Sorta feel like an with my name at the top of the list and haven't sent the cash in. The new job has been very very busy, as noted by my lack of posts. Like others have said, it's a really cool thing we are doing, makes me real proud to ride a Buell and be associated with everyone here. Alex |

Blake, I like the 'auction' idea.. however, instead of doing it on E-bay, why don't we do it here? That way real fans of Buell have a good shot at getting some tickets.. We can do it something like this.. start the bid at a reasonable amount (list for the same tickets sounds good to me) then either sealed or open bids .. for each ticket, with a time limit for each races tickets. That way if you are going to be in the area of say; Road America (or wherever) for the race, you can bid on just that race. Price would be for each ticket, then at the close of bidding, the tickets get sent to the winner(s) and the money goes into the fund.. What 'cha think? Later, |

Josh, If only the other BadWeB members were as "cheap" as you. We'd be up to near six figures.
Peter (Blublak), Interesting you should mention the tickets. I did some research yesterday on what weekend pass prices are at the gate on race-day including parking and paddock access pass too. Got most of them recorded in a spreadsheet. I was thinking of simply offering them, first come first serve for the same advanced price that you can get them via the various track ticket offices. There is little reason for someone to pay more than that price, is there? Then if they don't sell, we can put 'em up for auction or raffle. Just thinking out loud though. Daytona is fast approaching. I better get those tickets up for sale asap. |
