Mobbers... About the hats. (They had them there last Saturday, I went there and checked to confirm they received the hat promotion stuff) The sales staff has been briefed (a day late, I am told the sales manager told the sales staff the promotion started Feb 2nd, which was wrong) There is ONE case of hats (I don't know how many are in a case) You will be directed to Tom the sales manager or Roger to trade the coupon for the hat. REMEMBER HOW I HAVE BEEN TELLING YOU ALL WE WILL DO OUR PART IN THIS CLUB THING. AND IT WON'T FAIL BECAUSE WE DID NOT DO OUR PART... I am told that someone went to the dealership with their coupon yesterday and said in a very rude manner... "Here is my coupon, gimme my hat!" that person received a hat, said nothing and walked out. Don't know if that was a Mobber, or if that is even true. BUT... here is want I ask, and say to that unidentified person (assuming this was true)... I would hope everyone would have the common courtesy to treat others the way we want to be treated. We would not want the dealers employees to talk to us like that... and I would hope that a mobber would not be so rude to them. It really is hard to make a valid argument to the dealer about the inappropriate treatment of a club member or a non-member Mobber, when "we" (meaning someone generically I am standing up for, all Buellers in our group) acts like this, and it appears "one of us" goes in there and acts like an azz. LET ME QUALIFY MY STATEMENT... THAT IS ASSUMING THAT IT WAS ONE OF "US"... AND IT REALLY HAPPENED. IT COULD BE UNTRUE OR AN EXAGGERATION... OR IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN SOMEONE OUT SIDE THE CLUB/NON-MEMBER MOBBERS. The point is... if this did happen... and it is someone in our group. Please think before you act... each of our actions reflect on the entire club/non-member mobbers. Just as one azz at the dealership gives a bad impression for the entire business to us. One azz in the club can give them a bad impression about the ENTIRE membership. Subject dropped... Go get your hats before they run out, don't forget your coupon. One hat per coupon... no coupon... no hat. (Message edited by dasbuell on February 03, 2005) |

I sneaked out of work for lunch today and went and picked one up. Not a bad hat! Like Dennis said, I only saw one case there...maybe 25 hats tops. |

Like they say on the Cargo Largo commercials... "Better get it before it is gone!!! I will see how all this works out through the program... and work with the dealership to suggest they request more for the next promotion if these run out before the ending date. I doubt that they will be able to get more of these hats... but maybe more whatever for the next one, so there is enough to go around next time. I hope by the time I get out there Saturday afternoon, they have one left for me. If not... I will know there are some happy Mobbers out there with cool hats! |

Dennis is right, I just went and picked mine up. No problems this time, and they even have the promo sign up on the sales managers desk. But there doesn't seem to be a lot of hats left in the box. probably under 20. The hat is cool, it will be a great trip hat because it's a soft hat not a formed one. |

Non-member. And he wanted 2 hats. |

I got my hat! Dealer asks that I mention the following to the Buell-isti: if anyone has a Buell problem or meets a non-Buell enthusiastic staff member, they should ask for Chris Sylva (who is our BRAG VD) or Roger, the Customer Relations Manager. Chris knows all things Buell. Roger will employ ANY RESOURCE he needs to ensure your satisfaction. And believe me, he knows how to fix problems. |

I figured Tripper, from the fellas I've met in our group, I couldnt see a mobber walking in and treating our only local parts outlet in such a manner. (Message edited by hanses25 on February 03, 2005) |

Oh Dennis... what is today? Friday the fourth,right..... then that would mean that I sent that check out on the second....a Wednesday if I am correct. Cashier's Check #xxxxxx983 in the amount of $100 as per the club's decision along with a note that read as follows: "On behalf of Gail's American Heartland BRAG Club, a.k.a. the KCMOB, I am proud to submit this cashier's check for $100.00 in an effort to support Buell racing throughout the country in 2005. The MOB would like to also thank those who have organized this effort for helping each of us to feel more involved in the Buell community." I am awake, I just don't look or feel like it. |

I was in Gail's Thursday at lunchtime, bought a pair of exhaust split rings so I can remount my header. They started to charge me $12 each and I went HUH? and a recheck of price revealed they are actually $1.75 each. He was seeing the exhaust clamp price, but was nice about getting it right. I talked to Tom briefly, there were several new Buells on the floor, nice to see. I might just have them order my new back tire for me instead of internet ordering it. |

Oh yeah, I got my header back from Jet-Hot, they did a great job and one week turnaround. Total cost including shipping was just under $140. Nice guys to do business with. |

Tripper... Coulda said something yesterday. Did my Gail's trip, a gun shop hop... and went to Sam's... but he was not home. Oh Sam... I missed you this afternoon. I have the Club membership cards which were provided by Gail's. Roger gave them to me today, I was gonna give them to you. These are like the ones Central provided... except they show no dealer affiliation. Do we want to buy a ink stamp to put the club name on them? I will try to get them to you before the next meeting. Missing on-line mobbers... Ok... you can quit hiding now!!! (Message edited by dasbuell on February 05, 2005) |

The Orange Crush project is finished for now. It needs some touch up work but I'm sick of painting and sanding and painting. Tripper wish I would have logged on earlier at about 1:30 we rode out to Lawerance and then went to Sam's to see what an @#$ kicking he received from the 50 today. Dennis, sorry I missed your visit. I take it you realize though, that if it's nice enough for you to visit, then it's nice enough for me to be out playing..... However, I did find four wayward Buellers in my driveway when I did finally get home, here's some pic's from that ordeal.....you guys sure know how to kick a man when he's down (without a big bike to play on, I knew there was a reason I had two Buells.....) showing up in riding gear carrying helmets and looking like you might actually ride someplace.....cruel joke guys! thanks for stopping by.

I am happy to not be dealing with any club related problems or issues. ...or am I waiting for the next snafu to try to keep it from going fubar! Time will tell!!! So far... one public problem (hats), half a public problem (bad attitude when demanding a hat), and contact from a potential buyer/club member related to sales contact hiccup (being a middle man to fix a minor problem between the possible buyer/club member and the dealership). It sure was nice to blast a few boxes of ammo through the SMG and the Glock Sunday to blow away stress!!! The quiet is nice!!!!!! in case you don't know: snafu = situation normal all fu--ed up fubar = fu--ed up beyond all repair |

Dennis, I do not see ANY reason you or any club member should have to deal with the problems that come from Gails HD failure to be all they should to us or any one. They are the ones that should be dealing with the problems and keeping the buying public happy. I think if you are in the middle of things going wrong Gails owes you an apoligy and a hefty thanks. |
