getting off track here but where is the bulletin for the front motor mount? I was wondering if using grade 8's would work or something stronger, couldn't find it in the KV |

Ceejay: You really need to use the OEM bolts and not substitute. There is an issue of strength and thread form. The bolts are a SAFETY item. Time2Roll Neil S. |

Hey Eric, Don't recall if I told you or not, but I grew up not far from where you are living now. I'm from West Covina! My mom still lives in Hemet so I get down there once in a while. Maybe I'LL be the one looking YOU up! LOL! If you get up here in the next couple of months definitely look me up. Keep your knees in the breeze! |

HELP..!!..HELP..!!HELP..!! I'm looking for help from a Badwebber Graphic Artist or Construction Drawing person! The people at Laguna are planning to do some grading work at Rainey Corner to increase Runoff for the MotoGP races.Because of this they are talking about just putting a fence up across the back of our spot ,which will destroy our ability to use our viewing deck and cause all other fans to lose one of the best viewing spots at the track!!They are willing to listen to our ideas but I need a more presentable drawing to show to them.If they go with our plan they won't destroy the site and will still have a fire aisle, viewing area and we'll have our overlook, which by the way has been mentioned on worldwide TV during the last 2 years! Please , if anyone can help me We would really appreciate it!You can contact me at eobarrows@beckman.com or eobear99@aol.com |

This is the Goofy looking drawing I created(can you tell I'm not an artist???)It shows general location of proposed site.If they DON'T follow this we will end up with a slope with a fence at the top.Not the best for our application. A fence would not allow us to get this overhang. A fence would mean no view from your tent! No more fun on the Veranda! |

EBear, there's a rumor circulating in these parts that Dino may, in fact, actually attend the races at Laguna this year. |

Howdy guys, My '96 S2 has a V&H c/f muffler. The design is such that the V&H bracketry holding the muffler on keeps breaking, and even when it's not broken the bike continually tries to eject the muffler (this happened once at speed, I noticed right away when things got VERY LOUD). So, I'm fairly fed up with the V&H unit. Can anyone recommend an aftermarket muffler for the S2 that is troublefree, not too loud but will enhance performance over the stocker? Regards, Jim in Santa Barbara |

Jim in SB, had a wileyco on my M2 for a while seemed to hold up well sound better than V&H, give more power and I think it is cheaper friend has one for XB and really likes the sound and power it gives him. Not sure how far back they make em for, mine was for a '00 but try CAS4 out of NY they got em. |

I've had a Supertrapp IDS on the S2 for awhile. It broke the original straps, but the new ones are holding up. |

Jim, this polished SuperTrapp IDS set-up was bullet-proof on my S2... ...and by seat-of-pants was GREAT for performance, plus boosted MPG about 5 over stock. better yet, this can (and internals) is available, the price is right (say $75 and lunch?), and should you want it i could be persuaded to meet you half-way between here and Santa Barbara (Frazier Park, perhaps?) on Sunday for the exchange. ride to lean, FB |

Hi Ferris, SOLD! How about I just pay for shipping instead of us doing all that driving? Do I need any special bracketry to mount it up? Ping me at Jim_SB@hotmail.com and we'll work out the details. Regards, Jim in Santa Barbara |

I agree. My S2 did 20k miles on the same Supertrapp as Jerry's. It wasn't anywhere near as pretty as that one though . |

PS. Ferris & Dino, we are once again having our annual CAMS (CA Meeting of Sportsters [and Buells ]) gathering at YoBug in Midpines, CA. It will be held Friday April 29 through Sunday May 1st. Of course you're welcome and encouraged to attend. I guess we should start talking to Dino about another adventurous ride North? Regards, Jim in Santa Barbara |

Hi Ferris, All the good riding roads within an hour of my house (including the fun way to Frazier Park) have been CLOSED due to the storms. I hope some will re-open soon. The problem is as soon as they get one section cleaned up another boulder the size of a house rolls down from above. It's keeping 'em busy. Jim in Santa Barbara |

Hey Ferris, You know that dining at the Thunderdome and riding the backroads of Kern County was one of the highlights of our trip. I'll check with the lads and see if they're up for it again this time. I'm an all day ride glutton, so I'm interested. I hope we have better muffler luck though. Jim in Santa Barbara |

Hi Dino, Most of the good roads down here are still closed from the storm (mudslides). How 'bout up in your neighborhood? Jim in Santa Barbara |
