I keep hearing rumors at my HD/Buell dealer that HD is dropping the line. Is it just my dealer? Something about BUELL moving to Triumph...... |

what! will you people quit worrying about what some schumk says and get with it. over and over again 2004 has been a record year for the Buell line. just because a local dealership drops the Buell line doesnt mean that Buell is going out of business...quit worrying bout that crap, and enjoy the bike!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

my 2 local HD dealers dropped buell @ the first of the year, Santa Barbara Harley, and Ventura Harley, but I just found out that Ventura Harley changed their mind at the last minute. |

Try, Buell dropped your 2 local dealers. Culling out the lame ones. |

No more HD incentives to carry Buells. Hence only those dealers who are interested in carrying Buell motorcycles, will. And that is a good thing. |

The dealer network and the factory are 2 totally separate entities. GREAT! Get rid of the dealers who turn up their noses at those of us who come in for Buells and get the bikes and the service moved where there's more enthusiasm. Who wants to buy a bike from a dealer who seems like they are being forced by Harley to carry it? I know, this is easy for me to say. We've got 6 or 8 dealers within a half hour ride in any direction here. But poor service and the lack of a knowledgeable sales staff will only perpetuate the negative issues encountered in the "early" years. I have it from good authority that Buell is in it for the long run. They even hint of bigger and better things right around the next corner. And we all know how Buells handle the corners! |

Jad2, try not to take anything in here personally. The reason people are acting like they are on this subject is because it's been beaten to death. HD has said time and time again that they plan to keep Buell. Buell has also said this. Everything is good. Orlando HD dropped the Buell line but Lakeland, Ocala, Daytona, and Gainsville from my knowledge still have them. So does Space Coast HD, my local dealer. |

Jad2 The people at that dealership are wrong. I would not continue to do business with a dealership that is either that mis-informed or plain outright mis-leading you on purpose. I wonder what the owner of that dealership would think if he/she knew how full of the employees are? The future of Buell has never been brighter! |

Funny thing is here in northern Jersey the 2 HD dealers (Kosco/Williams) both seem to have very strong commitments to Buell, in fact I think they both sponsor a couple racers. Their usually very helpful and although the guy in parts may not sell alot a Buell parts he is always willing to help. |

Ryan, I don't take anything on this site personally. I figured the rumors had no weight to them. I just could not see how that would be a good move. Orlando HD has always been one of those dealers where people don't pay attention to you when you stand by the BUELLs. The only reason why I purchased my bike from them was my sales guy owns a BUELL. As you can imagine, he knew what he was talking about. I'll miss my service guys if they do stop servicing the bike. Robert has always done a great job working on my bike...... |

The point I was trying to make was I never feel like a red headed step child when I'm in either dealership. |

As I understand it, WW Buell sales are up sharply. There is added race money this year from HD. Does not sound like death knell! |

Buell is H-Ds only way to attract young riders. No one at my work had ever heard of Buell until I got mine. Now there are three that are trying to figure out how to get one. Buell is just going through some growing pains, give it time. |

I had heard of Buells but I had no idea there was a dealer locally until I purchased through an ebay listing. Prior to that, I was searching all of the import bike shops for a sportbike. I would have never thought to look at a Harley dealer for a sport bike and I'm sure a lot of folks think the same thing. Personally, I just don't think (without proper marketing) that a Harley dealership is the best place to sell a Buell. |

Same here. Everybody I ride with says how impressed they are with a bike they never heard of. They get jealous when we stop and people come to check out my bike and ignore them. |

>>>Buell is just going through some growing pains, give it time. Plagraism......shouted Court! I said that 15 years ago. Court P.S. - don't get sucked into that "only way to attract younger riders". It will prevent you from seeing the facts. |
