Wycked, Thats was pretty neat. What song was used for the soundtrack? The group sounds familiar but I can't quite put my finger on it. Keep your knees in the breeze! |

Hey, guys! Just thought I'd give you an update. The surgery went well, but was more extensive than originally planned. They had to replace four ligaments instead of just one. The doc also spent about 45 minutes removing scar tissue from the main nerve trunk, so hopefully that will solve the nerve pain I've been dealing with. Not bad for 5 hours and 45 minutes of surgery. Recovery is going well, and I'm very optimistic that I'll be back on a bike soon. Thanks again for all the prayers and well-wishers. |

Lou; that's a good chunk of time for surgery - are they charging by the hour? Taking a coffee break Hope it all works out well for you. Keep up the hard work - that's what will really make a difference in the end. Henrik |

I could explain why she has her.....OH , never mind!! ( really,it usually has to do with how I verbally work the models, and some are way better than others, particularily if they have done real modeling before....) By the way,I looked up your profile and see your in Fremont...I grew up on Metcalf road,South San Jose and went to school in Morgan Hill.If you've been around there you KNOW what kinds of roads I grew up on!My brother and I were always swiping my Dads bikes (from 9-15,till we could buy them ourselves)and racing around the backroads .My Dad raced Alfa Romeos and I was the one picked to help him work on them and pit at the track,so racing was in my blood,so to speak. He also loved all things mechanical so we always had motorcycles,go karts and 4 wheelers around. The roads I described are just past Mt. Diablo in Clayton. But if you want more roads like that then go explore the Santa Cruz mountains, Mt.Hamilton,Coyote,Almaden and the Morgan Hill to Hollister area...then after that look to Carmel Valley and beyond(Monterey).I'll be leading another ride on Friday at Laguna Seca so hope your there!! Howdy, I have a friend who has a 1999 X1 for sale. They've had it with a dealer who has had no success selling it for them at $5,200. The owner will accept less on a direct deal. Bike has 3,500 miles and I'm told is in very good condition and is in Ventura County, CA. If anyone is interested ping me at Jim_SB@hotmail.com. PS. Nice article about Buell racing in the new Cycle World. Jim in Santa Barbara Still riding my S2 if they ever re-open the good roads... |

Hey Eric, Yeah I'm familiar with most of those other roads, I do Hwy. 9/Alice's/Skyline Rd. a lot. And have been down Hwy. 1 all the way to Ventura/Oxnard. I've also been up and over Mt. Hamilton a few times, Mt. Tam and Mt. Diablo once each and north on 1 from the GGB to Pt. Reyes. Those are some great roads. Some roads I'm planning to ride are Hwy 25 south from Hollister http://www.pashnit.com/roads/cal/Highway25.htm Also want to explore the Wine Country more, never been to Yosemite yet either. I grew up in SoCal and have only been in the Bay Area for about 14 years and only the last 6 of those have I had a motorcycle, but since then I've had 8 bikes! I have 3 now. I wish I could afford to have as many as Jay Leno, but I'm thankful enough to have 3 great bikes. I doubt I'll make it to Laguna Seca this friday, what's going on there? Keep your knees in the breeze! |

Hey, Brad. I'd like to go to the show, we'll have to see if I'm up for it. I'll be on crutches for a while. By the way, I still have that MT75 for your daughter's Blast. Give me a call later this week, I would like to attend the show. |

Dropped in a midwest Buell dealer today and they have a NEW 2002 X1W. You know, the one with the Britten Blue header. I asked how much and the price they quoted was pretty appealing, but since I'm on the edge of bankruptcy I thought I should stay married and will have to pass. If you always wanted an X1W, drop me a message and I'll give you the info. |

Did anyone else notice the typo on Ferris' DMV envelope? Since when is it "Departament"? I think that may help explain some of why the DMV is such a joy to deal with... |

Hey EBear, I may not be living in the Bay Area any longer when Laguna Seca rolls around. I'm planning to pack it up and move to Bend, OR in the spring. I just can't stomach the idea of paying $750K for a house here that I can get for $250K in Bend. Shoot I can live in a 5 bedroom/2300 sq. ft. house in Bend for $300K. And no sales tax either!! I just hope there's some good roads in the area. Is anyone on this board familiar with the area at all? Hwy. 97 is BORRRINNGGGG but there's some nice scenery, it just all looks the same after a while and the road is as straight as can be. Anyway, it looks like I'll likely miss Laguna Seca. I guess if I'm gonna ride those roads you told me about local here I better get busy, eh? Keep your knees in the breeze! |
