Sunset Thunder Club monthly ride for Sunday, 1-16-05 has been cancelled. Portland is a sheet of ice today and even if it thaws by tomorrow, it aint worth the pain. WWBD? Hunker down. Watch football. Do those "honey-do's". Drink appropriate amounts of medicinal achohol to ward off the demons of winter. BRAG meeting Tuesday, same time, same place. | ||

Glad to hear that you are going to make it funjimmy. I still owe you beer of your choice for sending me the splash dvd. Make sure you say something, just to remind me, as I tend to have short term memory loss. Tracie and I plan on attending slash as well. Hopefully Tracie will be able to ride her own bike this year. If not I can always toss her on the back again, this time I have the twin tail corbin...(like that is going to help....lol) In the next few weeks I hope to get the S1 into the shop. Ill let you guys know what they find. Also now that tracie is going to be on her own bike,I hope, we are looking into getting a couple of GMRS X1's or whatever the top of the line one is. I also have another friend of mine who wants one so we are up to 3 now, anyone else thought about getting one, but didnt cause they are a little to spendy? they retail for like $329 or something, but I can get them for like $220 or maybe less if I get a total of 6 or more. Hope to make it to the brag meeting this week, but only time will tell. | ||

Hey all, Well, I made it back to the real world!  } I got back Monday and have been getting reacquainted with Janel and the girls. Unfortunately the weather isn't cooperating so the bike will be staying in the garage. | ||

Thanks guys. It is great to be home. Didn't have too many worries while I was there. Except for the punk kids, your average Kuwaiti likes us and wants us there so things stay pretty mellow. In fact they have been known to drop dime on anyone planning anything stupid so as to keep the Americans happy. Most dangerous thing I did was drive on the highways. Your average Kuwaiti sees the 120 kph speed limit sign, thinks mph and puts their foot on the floor.  I did see a guy riding along on an R1 with his helmet on his elbow. Just about the time I made a comment to the guy I was riding with, he put the helmet on, hoisted the front wheel into the air and rode along for about two km  . He then calmly put the front wheel down, took the helmet off and cruised along for about five minutes before doing it again. All of these antics at over 130 klicks! I guess he was saving the front tire?!? Currently I'm in Oak Harbor visiting with family and I was so jealous driving over and seeing all the bikes on the road. One of the few things to recommend this side of the state is the longer riding season. Bob...you are a dirty old man and I love ya brother! Pete | ||
