I'm all ready for the install. Good thing I rode over today. Looks to be getting colder. Odie, any thing I need to look out for, any install tips to make it easier? Or is it pretty much straight forward? |

Glitch, obviously all airbox parts came off. Take off the right side airscoop as this will give you very easy access to the injectors. Put the injector wires on from the right side under the frame revealed by the removal of the scoop. I put my box, ummmm, brain, yea, that's it, on top of the battery. I can post a pic in the morning if you want. All the wires ran from the brain down the left side of the bike with all the other wiring and then up to the O2 sensor and injectors. I started with the recommended settings and went from there. Hope Shred has some nice neighbors as setting it with it cranked up to 2000 rpm didn't make my neighbor across the street very happy (I think she was sick). Oh well...Good time to change plugs and wires if needed. Also looked at all of my other junk under there. Make sure to look at your idle adjustment cable for wear on top of the head bolts. Also, go to Techlusion.com; then to Support Forum; then all the way down the page to General Tech Support and click on General Questions; then click on the Thread Subject "Understanding and adjusting the pots" by one of the administrators. Print this to take over there with you. This is very helpful. Also, they talk in the forum somewhere about not really worrying about the lights going on and off at idle. More important at higher revs where fuel is being being put in and cut out etc. If I think of anything else I will post again tonight or in the morning. I'll post a pic of where I mounted it also. Fun, fun, fun...wish I were there to help.....Odie |

Make sure to look at your idle adjustment cable for wear on top of the head bolts. Mine is chaffing a bit. Trying to come up with something to protect it. Any suggestions... I have a few things that need some attention. Maybe some spiral wrap (Message edited by Fran_Dog on January 23, 2005) |

I just might hire a hitman!.....JK Could you take my profile pic and make the wheels black just so I could see what they would of looked like. |

B_S: I tried to Photoshop your profile pic and merge it with a City Cross, but your pic is at a weird angel, and the one from Buell is straight on, so it looked bad. Trust me though, the black wheels will look badass. Hulley, it's OK to go with B_S, he can make you some NICE carbon fiber, all I have to add to the trade is the Assistant Director of the 3% BRAGging Rights Club's admiration. No pressure |

Those wheels would look best on my bike but I am way to slow, well not when riding. Hulley, I will give you AMBER WHEELS and lessons on how to WHEELIE, STOPPIE, and CORNER!!! I mean getting the assistant director position is work and carbon fiber only makes you look good, I will train you to be good! (JK) B_S, those wheels would look great on your bike, I was talking to Shred and Glitch about some ideas for blacking out the R, I am starting to formulate my plan. Well today is project day, I hope to have the Urban Assult Tank plated today, get an estimate on the repairs for my truck today, and get the four wheeler up and going good again so I can practice my stuntin'. Everyone be safe today. |

I did not see those other posts but I think amber wheels would look kind of goofy on the city x. BUT YOU WOULD BE FAST ENOUGH YOU WOULD NOT HEAR THE PEOPLE MAKING FUN OF YOU! (Message edited by new12r on January 24, 2005) |

Yea, today and tomorrow are my weekend and I wanted to go for a ride to Florida to get some lottery tickets (I'm GONNA win!) but it is freezing here! Maybe after lunch.... Hey, it might be worthwhile to save "said box" as it is an original pipe box and may come in handy for future ops....pun intended.....Odie |
