Glad to see you take sole possession of second place in the Buell contest. Other Dealerships should take notice of smart marketing. Hard work sometimes pays off. Once again, congrats, you deserve it. Al |

3rd...................... It's ok, I'm just jealous. But on a good note, I sold the most for the state, and I sold another last week. (just a bit too late) |

Would it be wrong to ask who sells more than Dave? I'm guessing whomever it is must have some secret up their sleeve since it sure looks like they have no apparent internet presence that I can think of... What USA dealer sells the most Buells? |

Thanks guys. Yep, third was the best I could do. I got beat by salespeople at Glendale CA and Pompano FL. They tied for 1st, making me third. I'll just have to try harder this year! |

I still can't believe that you got third. The BadWebbers must pull together and help Dave take First place this year!!! |

Do part sales count? Because I've started him off pretty good! Thanks again Dave. I'm guessing the stuff shipped out, since I've been billed!!! Excited to say the least! |

Dave...I am newbie on the Bad Weather Bikers...XB board, but you have treated me fine, and I appreciate your input. I add my congratulations. The next time I get a Buell I am going to contact you. If I buy one "way up north," will you pick me up at the airport? I am thinking about another one when I return from overseas... Again, Congrats...Cyko Bob |

Does that only count Dave's time at Appleton? or does it also count Waterloo? |

Well then in my book you deserve an extra pat on the back. It can't be too easy to sell bikes up there in the winter. Good on ya Dave! |

This latest contest was for Nov and Dec only. No Sherlock - so they sell more bikes in Florida and CA during those months. Gee willekers That's like doing stats on whether there are more X-mas trees sold in December than in June. Now if they'd play fair, I know you'd win Dave. Congratulations Henrik (Message edited by Henrik on January 21, 2005) |

Dave, the moment Erik makes another one I like, you're my man. I just hope that time comes around sooner than later. |

It's hard to sell bikes you don't have, Pompano has a large allocation, don't know about Glendale. That makes it a lot easier to rack up a high total. I sold all our XB models and could only manage fourth. Anyways David Kayes who tied for first and won the toss, is a Real Good guy and although not a Buell owner YET, is a real motorcyclist, and I suspect a new Buell owner in 2005. GOOD GOIN' DAVID Al |

First off.. !!!!CONGRATS DAVE, CRAIG and AL !!!! Now, I see something wrong in this .. After all, unless he's here under a 'pen name' I don't think this guys David Kayes is on the BadWeb and shouldn't a BadWebber always be the No. 1 - 3 (at least) Buell folks?.. Damn it! Ok, aside from that.. He doesn't ride one? Al seems closest to him.. So start applying the pressure.. he'd better get on a Buell.. or stop taking sales from you guys that do.. hehehehehe.. In my goofy yet humble opinion.. Later, |

Dave, That is amazing. To take third in Nov. and Dec., in Wisconsin?! How do you do it? Do you use the same mind control techniques on Kandie? Can you teach me? Craig, Don't lose heart. We need Iowa HD/Buell (Buell Cycle Center) to continue its legacy of excellent pro-Buell service and sales. Sounds like you are doing just that. Been wondering, did you inherit Dave's XB race bike? Did y'all ever get it sorted with the carburetor? But most importantly, did Dave pass on to you his mind control technique, and will you teach it to me? |

Lots of Koolaid! And no it doesn't work on Kandie. |

Congratulations to all of you. The more of these bikes that are on the road the better off the entire Buell community is. |

Daves, selling Buells in Wisconsin in winter is like trying to sell snowmobiles in Tucson! Dude, you could sell a ketchup popsicle to a lady wearing white gloves! You're the ONLY guy I'd buy a $7.00 part and pay $8.00 in shipping. Congrats to you too Craig. Iowa in the winter is definitely no tropical paradise. |

Thanks Cataract2, but I am no longer at Daytona Harley-Davidson as of last week, and about David Kayes, well I trained him in Buell as best I could so Buell would still flourish after my departure from the Ft Lauderdale Buell Shop (now moved to Pompano Beach). Ft Lauderdale Buell was #2 in sales in 2003. In Daytona today I have more Buell twins in my garage than at the authorized dealership. The enthusiasm for Buell hasn't left Daytona, it's just moved SW a little. I will get David Kayes on a Buell this year, hell I'll even get to go to the races for the first time in years |

Dave, I can't believe you got beat by Pompano. I can't stand that dealership. I'm like 5 miles away from them and I drive to a dealership that's 30 miles away(West Palm Beach) because I refuse to go in there. I don't even go to the dealer in Ft. Lauderdale because I heard they we're both owned by the same person. It's too bad you got beat by them. Your customer service is MUCH better. |

Yeah West Palm Beach is a much better Buell dealership, they still have NEW tube frame bikes. They finished the contest in the top 100. The ONLY person there who can spell Buell is Fred Nagher (a real Buell owner and motorcycle enthusiast). |

Dave: First . . . thank you from me and a lot of people who don't/can't post here, kept busy with filling your pipeline with 40 Buells a day. Second . . . congratulations. It's all be said, like a crippled guy passing Florence Griffith Joyner your "hands tied by geography" performance is all the more impressive. Buells are all about heart and soul. I suspect the heart and soul you put into selling them, plays a greater role than all the sales training focus seminars. I am going to have to miss next week, but will be eager to hear your account and I look forward to seeing you this spring and congratulating you in person. You've not only racked up impressive sales numbers, but you have raised the bar in terms of service and commitment to making and keeping satisfied customers. More than the congrats, THANK YOU.
