Way to go big boy! I'll be waiting to do your re-fi! Congrats! I'll be riding to Chino tomorrow. Should be back to Phoenix around 4:00. If anyone is around I'll be stopping in to Callahan's to avoid the traffic and say hello to Michelle. |

Here you can see how big the lot really is (109 ft deep) big lot. Eliz is talking to some old folks who looked worried that some youngsters on loud machinery were moving in... This will be the view from yard. Not bad for a starter home eh... The land across the street is State land so I guess and hope the view wont be blocked anytime soon! Eliz and I took some time to express our happiness...

Charlie/Eliz, Don't be showing those pictures of the blue sky to too many folks, especially those who are snowed and frozen in. Good luck with your new digs. (is that in the Yuma area?) |

My problem is that I've only ever slid the front with the M1's (on dry/clean tarmac anyhow) and I'm afraid that if I get tires that are TOO sticky, I'll never know what it feels like to really slide the bike around... |

Bart, Thanks, I didn't notice till now but there are only three fingers in that picture. Very Simpsons Bill, The house is right on the middle of retirement central out in the foothills of Yuma. More younger couples are making their way out though... Brian, Yea, we just went out again today. We just signed the papers Tuesday and the forms are already in place for the foundation today. There's a house on the corner that was getting ready for concrete a couple days before Christmas and it's almost done already! I think they might have ours done before the June 24th move in they promised. They were probably throwing in some fudge factor... Eliz's truss company is doing the trusses for that subdivision. She just processed the lot order for our house today Very Cool! Oh, and Brian. Maybe Cyclonelady from over on the springfast thread was the one who blew past you on the freeway??? She said she was moving to Tucson. Maybe she was on a scouting trip? |

Hey Charlieboy, Congrat's on the house. Where is it going to be located. Sounds like you were lucky, heard it was hard to find a lot of your own to build on, evidently most of the companies out there building houses own the majority of the land where they are building. Ya'll take it easy and enjoy your weather, been too cold and wet here lately, hope I get a chance to ride once more before I head out. Going to Iraq next month, anywhere from 7 - 14 months. I'll be at Camp Fallujah. Ya'll take it easy. |

Wycked, I plan on having a party to "Break the house in right" when it's finished. All you Badwebbers are invited of course! Maybe I can get the local squids to put on a stunt show so we can all point and laugh Southern, Thanks. It's going to be out near Fortuna BLVD where Tyler's Taste of Texas is... Housing is very tight here. When we first looked at the subdivision, it was almost empty. When we put the good faith on our lot it was half taken. A week later there's only a few lots left. AMAZING! It's only going to get worse as the Army is bringing a whole division to YPG. I have no idea where they'll put the families??? Hey Southern, you be careful out there brotha. Fallujah is still a wild place. Keep your head on a swivel and come back to us OK. Hope the weather clears so you can get some riding in before you leave... Fair winds and following seas... |

Brian, The builder is "The Development Group" (TDG). The group has really got a racket going, all headed up by Karen Spencer. She's a local real estate mogul who partnered with (formed) TDG who also has Principal Mortgage in tow. So, the subdivision sales are Karen Spencer, the builder is TDG (Karen Spencer), and financing is mandated to be through Principal Mortgage (Karen Spencer). I'd really like to be Karen Spencer right about now... It did make everything easy though. It was a one stop shop. http://www.tdghome.com/ Click on The Seasons. I'm pretty sure the floorplans are there... I really will be calling you in the future for a refi. I'm intrested in how long the good rates will hold out for. |

Thanks Fellas. Believe me, I'll be on the lookout the entire time. Our MGySgt made a clear point of letting us know that we COULD NOT volunteer for anything other than our own job. Had to go buy some of my own gear because they didn't have enough to issue us. Gave me a pistol and two magazines. No cleaning gear, no holster, supposed to have 4 magazines. Went and bought 3 more magazines, a cross-draw holster vest from Blackhawk and a few other things. I'll keep in touch and let ya'll know how it's going. If I can post a few photo's from there I will. |

A cross draw holster seems like a good idea. I would imagine that once you get there you will have plenty to choose from. What do you do? Combat, support, recon or whatever else they do these days . |

Naw M1, we're Air Wingers... Can't speak for Southern though... He went to a new station and he may verywell find himself laying comm wire or something in combat. One of my friends (a firefighter) volunteered to go and bam 1st Mar Div baby. Wasn't what he expected... But how grey the line betwixed grunt and Winger/Support has become! Most of the security in country are not MP's or grunts. They're motor-T folk, computer whizes, supply guys, admin etc. Believe it or not, guess who has pulled their share of guard duty. The Band! We Marines are true to our credo. Every Marine a rifleman! |

Unfortunately, my large intake of alcohol and the following hangover caused me to miss riding with Kobie and the gang out to Tortilla Flats. I did however, manage a short ride up South Mountain. Freshly paved road, and greeeeaaaaat curves! The view was great, here is a few to tease you... SouthernMarine, Good luck, keep your head down, be sure to bring all your parts back!!! SEMPER FI !!!
