Just wanted to share some good fortune. Starting Tuesday, I'll be a sales person with Shelton's Harley-Davidson/Buell Goldsboro. I't's a good thing too as I walked out of my former place of employment Monday night. I had been talking with Shelton's prior to my leaving my old job so it had been in the works. I'm excited yet a little nervous at the same time. I have 20 years in parts/service in both the automotive and motorcycle industry but I have never "sold" before other than service and parts(duh). The cool thing for me is finally being part of a Buell operation. I was already known there as "the Buell guy" when I was just a customer (my former employer was strictly H-D), so I have a feeling that a lot of the Buell work will fall my way. The GM has already said that he's going to let me deal with starting a BRAG chapter, something I had been asking about for over a year. Anyway, I'm happy and just wanted to share. Dave | ||

Ayden, Once you're 'settled-in' shout out. We can surely get some Buells in the parking lot making your new boss happy. Goldsboro is a haul from here, but from the Raleigh/Durham area it's a no brainer. Let's get out and support Ayden,,, Greg | ||

Thank you everyone. Bigdaddy, I like the way you think. That would be a big vote of confidence for my employer. I'll take al the help I can get. I know that we'll be making plans to come your way. Jlnance, Shelton has 3 stores right now, Goldsboro, Smithfield, and Durham. He's also building a new store in Henderson. He's definitely growing and progressive, and that's what I'm most excited about. I'll let you know when we start recruiting membership, heck, consider yourself one of the crew now.  Bueller's in the area should brace yourselves. Once Aydenxb9 gets acclimated and situated GREAT Buell things are bound to happen! Again, thank you for the support. It's really bolstering my excitement towards this new opportunity. I'm really looking forward to helping the local Buell (and motorcyclist) community. Being able to make a living within it is just icing on the cake. U4eh, Spike, we should get together and get a few rides going. Our core group here is gelling pretty quick and have already begun to plot and plan. |
