hey all of you city folks...just thought I d say hey ...I am at a friends house since it was too dark to get a boat to pick me up last night. yes the river is rising. Its above the road and my boat is in the shop.....bad timing. alls well I'll get it this morning. yesterday morning was my first official...time to use my porch steps as a dock. it was pretty cool is you ask me. hell now you can fish from my porch you don't even need to go down to the dock. which is good since the dock is about 10 feet under water. just thought Id say hey and I hope all is well with everybody. and I hope dyna is minding his manners.... take care everyone. ps I have been reading lots of books instead of playing on the web.....and I still am enjoying it . so hello from the fat man...that has lost 23 lbs to date since sept.....so now I must be "somewhat fat man" seesya bubba |

Like Dave said; good to hear from you. Hope you won't soon be able to fish directly from your couch ... inside your living room. Henrik |

Anyone remember "Tales from the riverbank"? Used to be on Sunday mornings when I was a kid, stories about what looked like gerbils or hamsters, that lived along the river. They had a motorboat and everything. I have no idea what gerbils were doing, living along a river. I hated that show but Bubba's post made me think of it for some reason? I am strange some days. |

At least your boat is safe in the shop -- Mine is in storage (at the boatyard) and I haven't been able to get close enough to see it and check for damage, but the boat store is under 3 feet of water and I've been told that where my boat is parked (in the rear corner, at the foot of the hill) is the worst hit part of the lot. Good thing for agreed value insurance Anyway, my house is still intact after the rains although I wish I hadn't sold my Bronco a few years ago... Here's a few pics of the mud flowin' in front of my house. Only two roads leading to town and both were completely blocked from Sunday morning until they managed to clear one of them Monday late afternoon. I know this seems trivial to some of you 'boggers out there, but keep in mind that I'm unable to ride until they clear the roads!!! |

alls well the river crested sunday night. 2 inches from entering my cabin and a safe 6 feet from the house. it crested at about 16 feet over flood stage. me and my neighbors went down the river sunday in the boat to check out some other houses and we pulled up to some old supports for a bridge that has been gone since the sixtys. we stepped out of the boat and stood on top of them. normally they are 45 ft above the water...if that gives you a picture. the road should be dry by friday....I hope since its supposed to drop to -2 sunday. anyways. I'll check in from time to time...I finally found the public library. smitty call me on my cell 812-325-3069...hell since your in bedford and all |

I was just saying that you should stay dry from the water but not necessarily "dry", in the sense of absence of alcohol. That's what I'm talking about! |
