hey everyone i havent been on in a while and i jsut wanted to let everyone know im doing ok and im still in iraq, However i did incounter some minor complications. A few weeks ago The finance office were i work here in iraq had a rocket come through the front door and destroyed most of the insides of the office. Dont worry no one was seriously injured, there was only one person in the office when it happened and he only substained a busted ear drum and a bump on the head when the drop celing caved in. The shocking thing about that was he was only 3 feet from were the rocket landed (god was definatly on his side). I have pictures however my image optimizer wont let me save nomore so i cant up load them on here at the moment. But just want to let everyone know im doing ok. |

Keep your head down. I was there from April 2003 through July 2004, so I know what you're going through. Good luck with everything, and stay away from the finance office! Get home soon and safe. Sean |

Gomo, I strongly support that we all promote sending needed and wanted goods to our troops abroad, but I strongly suggest that we let everyone send stuff on their own. Okay? Thanks for understanding. Would you please then edit out the solicitation in your post above. Thanks, I know your intentions were nothing but 100% honorable. Thanks, Blake (custodian) |

Vegas, I know what you mean. If their finance office is anything like ours, nothing gets done there anyway! Talk about wasting your shot!! |

Dude, I was in Camp Cuervo from May 03 to April 04. It was Muleskinner base back then. Is the finance office still over by the hospital? I stayed in the barracks down by the clock tower, but I think they've turned that area over to the ICDC by now. Is there still a decent gym and PX there? They brought that stuff in right before we left out of there. Would have been nice to have the whole year... Sean |

Don, I know you don't have your bike as of yet. I'm thinking maybe someone can scare up copy of Fuell and send it to you. That should be some good bedtime drooling for you. If anyone has an extra issue or two maybe Don can give up his address and get him some worthy reading. |

Seanp: they did turn that part ot the icdc and they do still have the px and gym right there bye the toc. im not sure which of our offices u seen cuz we moved like 4 times but its were the post office used to be we had it renovated and it was really nice up untill last week. the camp has really gotten alot of improvements like the 3 battalions that are here are in the new barricks they were building, an they are building a new dinng facility right behind the one we have now. they closed down the liberty center though and built like a mall type palce in the hospital basement were intransit soldiers used to stay. and im not sure if they had the blue glass caffe when u was here or not but that really pretty building across from 2-8 cav is a restuarant now. oh and what unit are u in? as for as ur offer Bcordb3 that would be nice however im not going to be here but about a week or to then i am going to kuwait so it probly wont make it to me. |

I remember where the post office used to be. That's where the Finance office was when I was there too. It was on the backside of the building when I was there, because they were renovating it. So I guess the front part is the part that got hit, huh? Pisser. I don't even know what the liberty center is, since it wasn't there when I left. I was there with 4/2 ACR but we left in April of 04, so most of that stuff must be new. I know that the basecamp came a lonnnnnnngggg way during the 11 or 12 months we were there. I'm sure it's continued to grow and be better. I'll probably be back in a year or so, yay... |
