A couple of friends and I are thinking about traveling across the pond to watch the Isle of Man TT and then travel to Dublin or London or both. Anyone ever been to the TT and do they have any recommendations on where to stay, where to watch the races, etc? Also, I did a little checking and it seems most of the hotels are booked. Am I a little late in starting the planning and should I just start to plan for '06? Thanks. |

Paul has Ferry reservations and a group of badwebbers are going. Paul will likely chime in here with details. |

I'm already planning on going for 2007 with a fellow Bueller & some Harley guys here in France, it'll be the Centenary year so should be a biggie. The other trip in the pipeline, I'm going to start planning a Euro tour for 2006, when I get back from the Homecoming/Deals Gap trip in June. Should be possible to include the Ace Café for those that want. (Message edited by Mr_grumpy on January 05, 2005) |

I have a friend/customer who is a Buell owner and lives on the Isle of Man. He may be able to offer some assistance on the accomodation front. He also organises the annual TT week Buell get together, which is on Tuesday 7th June. I'll ask him to post here if possible Also try these web sites for accomodation and other IOM info: http://www.iomtt.com/ www.manx.net If you are thinking of going to the Island here is my advice....DO IT NOW!!! BEFORE THE SAFETY NAZIS DECIDE TO BAN IT!! (Message edited by trojan on January 05, 2005) |

CALL TH EFERRY COMPANY. Ask when they will require people to PAY for the reservations they made laset June. They get cancellations as of that date. Call them daily or weekly until you get what you need. If you don't need a bike or a car on board the ferry you can get a ticket easily, lots more room for people than bikes. Also call the tourist board about the same time, they also get cancelations. |

Paul: With the reservations we have, do we have to come and go on certain dates. I mean, could I use the reservation to go over with our group and then come back earlier than the group? |

The ferry bookings are fixed travel Liverpool to IOM on Friday, return following saturday 8 days. at this point in time Real Starters for trip are Peter, Steve P me and a fellow Aussie. When they ask for the full payment for the tickets will let go those that are not spoken for. At present have accomadation for the 4 of us only and that is only 80% certain will firm up when I pay full fare on ferry tickets. |

Where are you guys staying? What are you doing for bikes? Where are you staying in London? Damn expensive place that. You can stay in Douglas during the TT for 3 days for what one night in London will cost you. If you have a cancellation email me. I might yet win the lottery. |
