Craziness!!! So I am getting off my bike on my way back from another lunch break at the dentist. As I get off I was startled to hear another bike behind me. It was a bike cop and he jumps off and starts jacking me up. The whole time I am like WTF; but he is holding me down against my seat and slapping the cuffs on me. He then told me another cop was pursuing me and I was evading. Then he said I was trying to get away from him. I was basically like this is all news to me! He sits me down and we had to wait for the other cop to arrive. Meanwhile many of my co-workers returning from lunch get to see me detained in handcuffs. The other cop finally shows up and he is followed by another bike cop. He told me I was weaving in and out of traffic at excessive speeds. He said he could not even catch up to me and he was going 70. Blah, Blah, Blah Basically he made me sweat out the threat of going to jail on a reckless driving charge, promise to ride safer (for my own good) and he wrote me a ticket for improper lane change. |

Glitch: Your right, better safe than sorry. I'd hate to be pushing instead of riding, not to mention the Oh 5hit when it lets go. Looks like I'll be visiting the parts department Saturday morning, but I'm not to happy about having to change the belt at just less than 3000 mi... That just doesn't seem right. Shred- You might want to read some of the archived stuff to get the whole story on the ankle. It wasn't quite driver error, more like operator error on basic maneuvers. I can ride, I just can't figure out what to wear on my foot. Nothing seems to fit over the air cast and I'm sure I will look pretty funny riding with one riding boot and one leather moccasin. Anyone have an extra large right riding boot they aren't using???? Clown- Thx for the Tix!!! (Message edited by along4theride on January 05, 2005) |

A4TR...probably the best thing would be one of those lace up ankle support. That are made a nylon/canvas. Very low profile. I can get you one if you like. Not sure of the cost. Insurance should cover if you get a Rx.

But it still won't fit in my riding boot and I'll have the same issue I have now, an open toe. I am thinking about going to the thrift store and buying a pair of men's boots and just use the right one. Thanks for the idea!!! (Message edited by along4theride on January 05, 2005) |

its very small and made to be worn IN a shoe or boot not by itself Nothing but a thin sock will fit in my boot as it is- they're a little small, not even a ace bandage and a sock, I tried Monday. But I might be interested in one for wearing to see clients, it probably would be a bit more discrete that what I have on now. If you find out how much let me know. I not gonna be that much I'm sure. Shred..... can't wait to see the new Pony B_A...Chrissy and I will not be making the Cheeta Assault. Glitch: I hav'nt forgotten about your mirror. Ford does'nt service just the glass anymore and even an aftermarket mirror is over $70.00 so I'm trying another rout. I do have one more question, Is your glass and plastic backing missing or do you still have it? |

Thanks Silver. No such luck. The only thing there is what it mounts to. No mounting stuff. Just the motors and in between there's something that looks like a mount that you might snap the mirror to, if the mirror has something mounted to the back of it. If you can't find it, that's ok. Really all I'm worried about is getting a mirror that will fit. I'm not too worried about adjustment, I'm the only one that'll drive the truck. |
