Daniel..don't listen to MArtin bro. He is just trying to add another skull to his gas tank! Dan..sorry about this morning dude! I am gonna try again next Monday am. I got up this morning after only sleeping about an hour all night and it was pouring down! I left Mike a text message, which through the miracleos of Sprint must have been sent to someone else or just lost all together. I went back to bed and had plans on getting back up at 8 to try again. I woke up at 1 when I called Mike. Thanks for being ther anyway! Man I am really sorry that you guys hung out all that time for nothing. John: Try to catch Mike or Owen, I think they would know how the aircleaner goes on. If you can't catch one of them, give me a call and I'll see if I can get by there. Nick: No biggie, Mike and I were just glad you hadn't crashed or anything like that. However, I will have to reassemble the Blast and ride it back and forth in front of the garage as you try to work Monday. I had fun, it beat sitting at home messing around all day. Plus the owner, Ron I think it was, seemed real cool and down to Earth. The A&W right down the road didn't hurt either. | ||

Damn, I can't wait to get the bike going so that I can ride in this fabulous weather we're having. I am hoping to have the bike done today. Hey Owen, or anybody else, I was told that when I change the air cleaner, that I should change the jets as well. Or do I have to change them? Any recommendations as to what I should change them to. You'll have to rejet to really get the benefits of the new air cleaner. Are you going to pipe it too? Cuz if you're gonna put an exhaust soon then I'd wait to do the jets until that's done, otherwise you'll have to rejet twice. It's not hard, but why do it twice you know? | ||

I'm hoping to be. If my parts come in and I can get the girl all put back together Saturday I'll be there. If not I'll try and finish up Sunday morning so I can get some riding in this weekend. Anyway John, after you do the air cleaner, just turn that mixture screw and richen it up a bit. Then jet after you do the pipe. I don't think it'd hurt anything, but I'm no expert. That's just what I'd do to save work.  | ||

Looks like I will have to try this coming Monday to fix the oil leak since rain and severe exhaustion won out this past weekend. I had to go ride today for about a half hour just for the heck of it. Guys, we are on for February for a strip club then! If anyone has a favorite that they like, lets here it! We liked Jaguars a lot, but the drinks were some of the highest that I have seen anywhere. Well I guess its official. Its gonna rain on Sunday so I am going to take the cage. My question is though, after the meet, what say we go somewhere to watch the playoffs. My Broncos are playing at 10:00am. It better be a short meeting. Better yet, they better show up. If they are not there by 9:30, I am out of there. Damm I am gone for a few days and you all are having way to much fun...... Nick I sent Jeff at LVHD and email and have not gotton a replay from him. Glad to hear everyone is doning fine hear on the board and nobday has gotten hurt other than an ego and a wallet..... Nick still working on trying to sneak away from drill for sunday but no luck so far.... My bike will be going in for some warrinty work by the end of the month. I will find out if Jeff at LVHD is a man of his word when he said he will support us, bike is daily transpo so I will see what he can do for me..... I will let you all know what happens as they progress. | ||

I am working tonight John.  On a better note: I managed to fix the XB yesterday! It took about 4 hours and that included changing the plugs and intake seals too. Weird thing was that they small lower rocker box bolts were all loose. Two of them had backed out completely! It really was a simple fix. I highly recommed using the shop at Freedom Cycles whenever you need a bike lift! The owner ther is super nice and you get free run of the whole shop while using the lift and that includes specialty tools as well. It is $25 an hour. What do you think about hosting a tech day at his shop? Nick | ||

That sounds cool Nick. A tech day would be awesome. Hopefully I'll have bought a pipe and jets for the Blast by then but it'll be fun regardless. Of course, I'll probably be working and too tired to participate.  Oh well, maybe one day we'll actually have a shift bid here. (I'm not counting on it.) | ||

Speaking of fixes, my bikes going back together and I still don't have an inch pound torque wrench, and yay, the alternator on my truck died monday so I have at the moment NO way to get to work tomorrow. This could be ugly, and I'm about to just tighten them up to something snug in foot pounds then see if I can buy an inch torque wrench when I hit vegas. | ||

How many inch pounds do you need? If your foot pound torque wrench goes low enough, just convert it. Oh, I figured since Buell advertises its pro series parts for '00 and newer Blasts, any after market parts should work on the '05 I ride. (Message edited by Jeb on January 12, 2005) | ||

It's like 100-120 inch pounds, so about 10 foot pounds, which seems kinda low for the cover bolts to me, but oh well. plus, torque wrenches aren't as accurate in the lower 20%, but a few people from sportbikes.net said to just tighten it up snug and go.....works for me. | ||
