I got a slipping clutch, but thanx to Bill's House Of Buell Parts, I should be a go for New Years Day. The plan: Meet at Le Peeps for 9am breakfast with the HoAME club. Kick tires in the rain. Head to Casa de Bankrupt for Buell-schitting Weather looks penguinish. |

>>>K-4 down to Dover and back then back home via 40. K-4 is a fun little 9 mile stretch of road with lots of turns. If time permits, keep going. It'll take you out past the stone fences, past Eskirdge until you hit Hwy 99. From 99 head North, go under I-70 and in a couple miles you, intersect K-4 again, heading back toward Manhattan. Some of the Limestone barns on this route are incredible. If you get really crazy, give me a shout. The last time I did this I headed up through Cuba and Scandia, stopped in Everett's hardware in Concordia. I was gonna come back to Topeka, but was having too much fun and ended up that night in Caspar, WY. (yes, the proper spelling is, or was Caspar) Anyway, the route you took is one of my favorites! Happy New Year to the entire crazed bunch of you! Court |

BRAG members... On the quick board there is a thread posted by Blake titled: Toying with the idea of BadWeB Sponsoring a Buell AMA Formula Xtreme Race Team In our transition from KC Central BRAG to... Gail's American Heartland BRAG... We carry over club moneys from past dues with the old club name. This is our money and no matter who sponsors the club... it is still our money, WE control this money. AT THE NEXT MEETING... LET ME SAY AGAIN, AT THE NEXT MEETING I want to have on our agenda a vote to see if we want to commit to donate say $100.00 or $200.00 to sponsoring a Buell Racing Team. Read the thread... think about it... AND WE WILL DISCUSS IT AT THE MEETING. I do not intend to actually send money until two things happen. 1. The idea is put to a vote at the January meeting. 2. There is in fact a 100% commitment by the custodian of the BadWeb to make the sponsorship happen. THINK ABOUT THIS... WE WILL DISCUSS IT AT THE MEETING |

Dave I had the same thing I just replaced my stock clutch a few weeks ago and it was a mess, all of the rivet heads were ground up and it made it a real job to get the clutch plates out. I replaced it with a preformance clutch that had more plates than stock thus eliminating the center spring plate. |

Hi Scott, all parts stores were closed cause I went looking for the same thing. Rebuilt it using used parts KCBill had in his toolbox. Time constraints and all... Funny how wheelies shock the clutch eh? |

So... Just in case anyone cares, one way or the other... (you might either be happy or disappointed to hear this) The cardiologist visit today gave me some good news. I will not be needing to have surgery or some other type of surgical procedure to my heart, etc. Not exactly a clean bill of health was given... but I was told the above and that I did not to have any follow-up visits to the cardiologist. The short version... stress kills... figure out a way to retire from what I do now, and find something else much less stressful!! Subject change... Anyone have any good ideas on a video camera mount setup for a 2003 XB9S? A Sony DCR-HC40 to be exact. Since there was no reason to start/continue saving/budgeting for heart surgery... my Christmas present came a week late! All things considered... I like the camera much more than the idea of having my chest cut open... or some device shoved into an artery!!! (BTW... had I not had over $300.00 in medical bills not covered by insurance... I might of got a smaller camera... but this one is pretty cool!!!) Go figure!!! |
