I'm staying home in Tucson. Caught myself a cold.  Still no clutch for my bike. Dave at Appleton has one, but he can't ship it out til Tuesday so I might as well and wait for Tucson HD. Oh well...first time in a year and a half that my bike is down.  Y'all be good up there tonight! Be safe and tip a few back for me.  | ||

Brian, did you call Sante Fe? We are going to stay home and kick back in front of the fireplace tonight. Went out riding today up to Cave Creek and CareFree. Almost got taken out again, by a woman. This time, I was packin' behind Mitzi, LOL. She did good, just gassed it, pulled ahead, and we both gave the gal the finger, LOL. I guess she's gonna be a good rider after all. Hey Charlieboy thanks for the number earlier but my nephews and niece kept me verry busy all week, plus the Imperial dunes and my 400 EX quad (which I only ride one week a year) also kept me busy. Hey do you guys ever ride the Maricopa road from Gila Bend to Phoenix? I traveled it to and from Yuma, all I kept telling my son was this is a Buell road! Again thanks for the invite and maybe I'll see ya at a Buell event this year or my next trip to the west. | ||

No it's a 2 lane road and it has rolling sections and curves. It came out at maricopa and a new shopping center is just opening. It was dark both times I drove it. I just checked my directions, Mobile Road, sound right? It is a fun ride in the cage, the Buell would be awesome! | ||

Wycked, I believe the road he is talking about comes out of the town of Maricopa. Goes east to Gila Bend. Been out that way a few times, yes it is a twisty road. | ||

Good seeing y0u at Los Hermanos, Bart. Ride thru Salt River was super cold and brisk. It was smart of you to stay down at the lower elevation. Coming back from Globe to Winkleman, Nic and Chuck got stopped by the Law. Haven"t heard the Good or Bad news as of yet. I was actually surprised that a cop got em stopped!!! While all the excitement was happening, I shot on back to Tucson. I'm coming up to get my suspension tuned next week, get a back tire so we can ride. See ya. | ||

Yea, that's W. Maricopa Rd. We call it "Dead Cow Road" and it's funny how many zonies know it by that name... Eliz and I take it every time we go on the bikes. It's the fastest way to Firebird from Yuma. It sure is a straight shot on the 8 just to get there though... Mike, I hope to see you around as well. I hope you enjoyed the dunes. Plenty of titties and beer there for all of us! Bart, I was going to post a thread of New Years Eve and Hooters etc but alas my battery died too! Damn these gadgets! P.S. Your bike is tooooooo sekusy Bart! |
