I have the CityX and do not like the lollipops. Bar ends are my favorite, but due to the hand guards on the SX I need to use stock mounts. Has anyone had luck with any aftermarket mirrors that use the stock mounts? Thanks, Charlie |

Reepicheap uses barends. If that's what you want it's just a little modding you'd have to do. Half an hour? |

Less then that, 5 minutes. I used 3rd eye mountain bike mirrors. Just go to home depot (or the bolt coffe can sitting on your bench) and get longer bolts and nuts to replace the ones that come with the mirrors in the package, and some washers for those bolts that will still fit inside the bars. Then drill a hole through the center of the plug just big enough to thread your new bolt through, and install. They stick the mirrors out about an extra 3/4 inch. The bar end plugs become part of the bar end mirror assembly, and they look perfect. If anything, they could use another half inch or inch standoff, as it is I have to dip my elbow slightly to get the full sight picture. There are pictures in the knowledge vault... and, in case you were still interested in using a different mirror with the stock mounts, I have the Golf Club Mirrors from Trojan Horse They look great but the vision out of them is not soo good. also the price is HIGH due to the exchange rate and shipping. There is also a replacement mirror with a better shape not as expensive but still the exchange rate and shipping, looks like the vision might be better as they are bigger than the golf club mirror. Both are from Trojan Horse http://www.trojan-horse.co.uk/ |

Thank you, gentleman. I saw the Trojan Horse line and am glad you saved me from ordering something I can't see well with. Thank you for the tip on the bar ends, that I will try. I need to learn how to use the archives better, so sorry if this was a repeat question. Happy New Year! Charlie |
