OK, it's a done deal! Since Edge Performance Riding Courses is no longer doing track days I had to find a new track day organization to pimp for. I am now working with Leon at Private Track Time. I had a vision of some beer bellied redneck laying across the hood of a replica of the "General Lee" (Dukes of Hazard) wearing a speedo... and the month of July below that! PLEASE DO NOT AGAIN USE THE TERM "CALENDER GUY"... EVER AGAIN!!! I almost puked with that vision!!! This year's Annual HoAME club NY day RIDE to breakfast will once again be held at 9:00 AM at LePeep Restaurant(7936 Quivira in Lenexa, 913/492-6644). As always it will be regardless of rain, sleet, snow, ice, etc. Trailering your bike doesn't count! ============ I think there will be 3 or more of us having breakfast here. Open to riding from there, say 10:30 departure? Of course we could ride to Casa de Bankrupt if it's too cold for ya.  | ||

Mobbers are always welcome to the casa de bankrupt! The HoAME ride won't fit my schedule for the day. I have my son, and Sharon is taking her kids back to Iowa Saturday morning. But like I said... Mobbers are welcome... HoAMEs too for that matter... I will give a tour of my shop... and show of the latest (a few months old actually) changes. I "officially" start my resolution to find a job starting Saturday. My best case goal is to be re-employed by May 1, 2005 (or sooner). With my worst case goal have a new job by August 2005. I have already submitted a resume yesterday on a promising possibility. The problem is they want to fill the position before May 1st. I am trying to negotiate with them to work with me if I am acceptable to hit some middle ground between when they want the position filled... and when I can walk off this job. I have a plan that will work if they can flex a bit. Wish me luck!!! Also... Monday I have my appointment with my cardiologist... I should find out if some type of heart surgery or procedure is in my future. I am hoping my typical luck... or lack thereof does not kick in. Like an interview scheduled and surgery of some type the same week! "Interview... great!!! When... OK. Where? Could I impose on you to come to the ICU at the hospital, I should be out surgery and clear of anaesthetics by the time you scheduled my interview! This isn't a problem is it???"  | ||

Tomorrow: Showers early, becoming a steady rain later in the day. Thunder possible. High 63F. Winds SE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 80%. I think I will be sitting this one out!!! My rain suit is at another guys house and I really don't feel like cleaning my XB all that much! Do you need a follow around truck? I will meet you all for breakfast though and take pictures. Baldwin is totally fogged in...at least over on Elm. I think it was that 70o weather yesterday. I was beginning to get homesick until they said it'd be mid 60's in Gotham tomorrow. Happy Gnu year..... | ||

Sorry Gang! The cable internet connection went south late this morning so didn't get any messages. I took US-40 over to Topeka and had BBQ at the H-D cafe, then then road K-4 down to Dover and back then back home via 40. K-4 is a fun little 9 mile stretch of road with lots of turns. | ||
