Ordered a couple of KBC's. I have tried on several others, HJC's, Suomys, etc & so far the KBC seems like the best balance of comfort/style/safety & price. Both of these are DOT & Snell rated. For my everyday street riding I picked this one up. And for track days I got this one since it will match my race leathers better I was also swayed to pick up another pair of gloves..I think I have a glove fetish. Dyna, just this past summer I finally bought a new helmet to replace the Simpson Super Bandit that I had bought in '92, and I bought a KBC. I tried on a sihtload of different helmets during my shopping period and for my melon the KBC was the best fitting and most comfortable BY FAR, and that includes having tried high $ helmets such as Shoei's and Arai's......... Excellent choice! |

Titanium silver & im going to have someone..dont know who...paint a Black Widow spider & some other stuff on it.

I won't buy anything but Arai helmets. lightweight, good airflow through the upper part of the helmet so you don't sweat your brains out, removable liner and they don't look huge on your head. |

Rob, Arai is a great helmet, but I wont pay that price. Hell I can pick up 2-3 helmets for the price of 1 Arai. The 2 I got are both DOT & Snell approved, Removable liners, blah, blah. |

I bought a Roof Boxer flip-up (actually flip behind) three years ago and have rarely used any of my other helmets since. Light, stylish, and very versatile. |

Tombo, Where were you able to get one in the U.S.? Were you able to try some on to see if they fit well? I've been wanting a Roof since they first came out with the Boxer, but have never found a U.S. distributor. Very cool! I actually asked the wife if she wanted a purty yeller one. Then I showed her Blakes pic of his yeller & she busted up laughing at the lid |

Tell me how she likes the Nolan. I've been riding with a Vega Summit XPV flipup the I got off ebay for $60, and absolutely love it. Most comfortable helmet I've ever worn. And seeing as I wear glasses, I wont go back to a normal full face helmet for the street again... The wife and brother each have a Zeus flipup helmet that isn't quite as nice, but still comfy. Those were both $75 shipped each. I do need to get a real(Snell & DOT, none of the flip-face helmets have Snell ratings.) full face helmet for the up and coming track days this summer though. |

I've bought a couple top of the line HJC's in the past one for snowmobiling years ago and it was a awesome helmet, warm, vented well when needed and the shield didn't fog up.So I thought why not by for the street the same brand.Well it wasn't bad until I bought a Shoei RF900.Way quieter by a long shot, much more comfortable.I'm sold on the brand and didn't mind spending extra for it,it my head after all. |

Hell, once she gets it she can tell you herself $188 shipped is a pretty good price I figure. I looked around & most places were in the $220-249 range. I have 4 Nolans right now, none of them flipup though & I like them all, comfortable, relatively quiet, look good, etc. |

I have a Shoei RF900 as well & while it is quiet & comfortable, it also sux for track days. The eyeport on the Shoei is smaller than other helmets & I cant bend my neck well enough in a tucked position to see clearly. |

Buellerthanyou, I had to send for it, so I did not get to try it on and took my chances (a bit of an expensive chance), fortunately it fit just right. I wanted one since I first saw one in a British bike magazine. They are a fairly round shape, which worked for me, but I know some find the longer ovals more comfortable. |
