I'm looking to get my 97 S1 running in tip top shape. I think it runs pretty good myself but I don't know because I don't run into many people who have one to compare to. I'm in Winnetka right now but soon to be moving to AZ. I'd like to know if my Buell shakes more then others, how to lean out the fuel (I think its running alittle rich), my friend rides behind me and he says he's smells alot of fumes, find out if there are any tips and tricks I can do myself, just various things. It sucks not to trust dealers because they're expensive and most don't know what they're doing. I don't know anyone with a Buell that could help me out. TIA! |

97s1, I'm not sure where Winnetka is (sounds like Minnesota or sumptin), but if you are looking for a shop in SoCal I know some good guys. Bob and Eric Bennett who own Bennett's Performance in Signal Hill (Long Beach) are very good with motors and can get you all dialed in with their Dyno. Thanks Timbo. Winnetka is in Cali. right next to Northridge. I'm hoping to meet some local Buellers so I can get some pointers. Thanks I'll give them a call. |

97s1, If you would like to meet some other SoCal Buellers...a bunch of us usually meet at Glendale H-D Buell on the last Sunday of each month (Nov. and Dec. excluded) around 9 a.m. You might want to check, from time to time, in the "Storm Fronts" section of this site and look in the "Southern California" thread for upcoming happenings. Enjoy! |
