Hey Martin, What ever happened to the tires I sold you? Where you able to use them? Let me know how it turned out. See ya..... |

Hey John! Nah, I wasn’t able to use those tires and while changing them out everything that could go wrong did. After I bought those tires from you and found out later that they didn’t fit, I bought a new set of Michelin Pilot Powers. Then I couldn’t find anyone here in town that would change them out for a decent price. So I decided to change them out myself. While I was spinning out my axle I bent my rear break rotor. I didn’t notice that on the other side of my axle gunk had built up and it wasn’t able to just slide through like it should. Instead it started to push apart the swing arm and bent the rotor in the process. Then I ordered the new rotor and it took forever to get here due to that part being on back order and Christmas shipping. But I didn’t let a little thing like a rear break stop me from ridding. I just said “f*&# it" and put it all back together minus a rear break. Last Sunday I met up with the guys from SBN (sport bike net) and we tested out the new tires on the Red Rock loop. They are awesome tires that really grip. Let me tell you I made no friends on that loop that day. We were passing cars (even in turns) and hauling through that loop. I have never ran so fast through that loop as I did last Sunday. Those SBN guys are some talented riders. There was one guy I just couldn't seem to keep up with. At one point we hit this straight away and I just punched it for all that my 1200 had and this guy ahead of me did a wheelie! ~LOL~ I looked at my speed’o through that straight away at one point and I was doing about 85/90. It was a very exciting day of riding even if I didn’t have a rear break. My rotor did come in yesterday and I put it on my bike last night. Yea! I went for a little test ride at about 9pm last night. It was a little cold but I had fun. So when ever the group meets up again I will be able to ride. ~Martin (Message edited by lghtn on December 29, 2004) (Message edited by lghtn on December 29, 2004) (Message edited by lghtn on December 29, 2004) |

Okay this may seem like a really odd question, but does anyone have one of the stuff to disassemble the clutch laying around? I'm going to take mine off and check the bolt on the detent plate while the primary is off, but I just realized I need the clutch spring forcing screw and the spring compressing tool to do it...whoops. So rather than ordering more crap I'd see if anybody maybe already had it laying around that I could borrow for a few days...? |

Dan, Sorry dude.. I was just getting prices on one today. Martin: You bum! I got the message from Mandy at like 9 last night when I turned the phone back on! Sorry I missed you guys. You are right, that is a talented bunch of riders and a lot of fun to hang with. Be careful out there... those rangers like the sport bike crowd... a lot! See you al later and don't forget the January meeting at HHD. Jake, have you confirmed the date and time yet? |

Hey everyone, I am still alive and so is Owen. Nick, no I have not had time and got some bad news over the xmas holiday. My grandpa died, that was the big one and then I have drill on the weekend of the meetup. Owen said he will be there and I think it should still happen. If you want to call Dawn and let her know or I can still email Jeff and let him know. I am still working some crazy hours. Havok, nice to see you post. I will tell Owen you said hi. |

Jake: Real sorry to hear about your grandpa. I feel for you. I lost mine when I was in my 20's. Don't sweat the meetup bro. We'll work it out. Sure, you can shoot Jeff an email if you want. Maybe mention the mailing list again to him because I think Dawn went out of town for the holidays. I was just telling John as well that when all this settles after the new years, we need to get some ride time in! Maybe go tease the rangers at RedRock? Take care bro. Gimme a call later if you want. I am at work all night. Martin: John has a phone list that he can email you. (and anyone else that needs one) |

Ok guys I have the rest of the weekend off! Yea! I am definitely going out riding tomorrow! Well if Mother Nature lets me go. So if all is good does anyone else out there want to go along? If you want to go just post “I’m in”. Wait, Wait, All the little blast-ies out there can’t go. Wait I take that back you can go and we will see you at the rally point but then we probably won’t see again till the next meeting. (ha-ha-ha) Kidding, I’m a kidder.

Ok... not one person wants to go for a ride? Well we are out of here at 10:30. Weather looks rather grey outside and cold so I think this is going to be a short ride any ways. Have a good and safe New Year Buell fans! |

Rich, I made it home safe. That rain and the cold got kind of ugly at the end of the ride but all in all it was fun. It was a good thing you knew that Ranger or I'm sure he would have gave me that ticket for sure. Good thing he didn't spot us rolling through those turns at 110 mph earlier. Catch up with you later. |

Hey Nick, I am currently looking for a bike but don't have the funds to purchase one. I also have never ridden a bike (except the one that my friend made from a lawnmower engine that has no brakes) other than that i am really a newbie to the whole motorcycle thing. Any info you could get me would be great. If anyone has any info you can send it to me at DHSMS2004@yahoo.com. Thanks Daniel |

Say what??? Let me get this straight, you're looking for a free bike and someone to teach you how to ride it? On that lawnmower you weren't wearing a helmet were you? You must have bumped your head. Daniel are you ok? Do you see spots? |
