I would like to trace the ownership history on my XB. Anyone have any sources for doing a VIN search on a Buell or has anyone done this? Thanks! Nick |

History of an XB? Its like what, a year old? It can't have had too many owners. |

Daves, what would be the cost to do such a search? I picked up my 96 S2 last year with under 2500 miles. Was always wondering where the bike came from. |

I have had luck calling Buell Customer support, at least with XBs. You can learn when the bike was first sold (which gives you an idea on how much factory warranty is remaining), what dealer it was purchased from (and obviously the locale), whether any recall services have been done. |

I think that any dealer can call up that much information on his computer in the service department. |

Yep, we can. Just depends on who you want to call. While I've got you on the phone looking stuff up I'll probably talk into spending some money on goodies for your bike! |
